The manufacturers of Echo, Shindaiwa, and Little Wonder tools use this #5 nut at various points in more than 150 gasoline powered tools. Included among them are hedge trimmers, power saws, pruners, grass trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws. The #5 nut is a lock nut, one that does not need a lock washer to prevent it from coming loose when it is used to bolt one piece of metal to another. Each of these devices has an engine housing and metal superstructures that call for metal parts to be joined together, which is were the #5 nut comes into play. As it is a small piece, and because it is used in so many places and for so many reasons, #5 nuts are often lost. Occasionally they are not tightly fastened after a repair. More often, they are simply set aside and forgotten. For this reason, it is a good idea for users to purchase several of these hardware pieces at a time. Like all our other products, this #5 nut is an OEM genuine replacement part. This means the original manufacturer machined this part or that it was built according the same specifications as the original so as to be a perfect match.

This is a genuine OEM replacement locknut sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in various applications on a variety of hedge trimmers, snow blowers, and other outdoor lawn and garden equipment. This locknut is threaded and used to secure threaded bolts that fasten two parts together on machinery. Lock nuts are resistant to loosening when threaded and tightened correctly. Lock nuts are used when the nut needs to stay on the bolt when under torque or used in vibrating parts. Locknuts are different on each side of the nut, making removal more complicated than standard nuts. Lock nuts are installed by hand up until it is secure. A torque wrench is then used to tighten the lock nut to the specified torque. If removal is necessary, start with a socket to loosen the nut. It may take a lot of strength to turn the nut, especially if the locknut has been installed for a long time. Once the lock nut is removed, check the bolt threads to ensure they were not damaged during removal. If damaged or corroded, replace the bolt before installing a new locknut. This locknut is made from high-quality metal and sold individually. It is compatible with hedge trimmers, trimmers, chainsaws, and other engines manufactured by Shindaiwa, Echo, and other manufacturers.

This is a flexible drive shaft produced by Echo and Shindaiwa for use in a number of their small gasoline-powered lawn and landscaping tools. This drive shaft is used in trimmers, edgers, and brush cutters in particular. Previously, tools such as these used rigid metal driveshafts. These were subject to breaking and difficult to replace. Flexible driveshafts are much easier to replace and are not brittle. Despite its versatility, even a flexible driveshaft on an Echo or Shindaiwa trimmer may wear out with normal usage. In order to replace the flexible drive, remove the shaft from the engine assembly. Next, remove the air filter cover and air filter to expose the throttle cable and ignition. Separate the throttle cable and ignition wires. This allows the shaft to be separated and the drive shaft to be pulled from the tube. When installing the new drive shaft, make sure to lubricate it with grease. Rotate the cable so both ends slide into place. Reattach by reversing the process. When purchasing and installing a new Shindaiwa or Echo flexible drive shaft, make certain to use a part like this genuine OEM replacement, manufactured according to the specs of the original part.

This is a standard hardware screw that is used in multiple applications on lawn and garden equipment. The hex screw may be used to secure various components of the housing or engine on machines. Due to constant vibrations and use, these screws may become worn, stripped, broken, or even lost over time. In the event that a screw is damaged or missing, it should be replaced immediately to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation of the machine. This screw can provide the ideal replacement for compatible machines. This genuine OEM screw is manufactured by Echo and designed to be used with select Echo, Little Wonder, and Shindaiwa lawn and garden equipment. Because this is standard hardware with multiple applications on more than 150 models of machines, it is important to check the parts diagram for exact location and application. This screw can be found on edger/trimmer models, blowers, and hedge trimmers. The screw is sold as an individual unit and includes a nut and lock washer to secure the screw in place. An Allen key or hex key will be required for replacement. Always wear gloves and allow the engine to cool before doing any parts replacements.

This throttle control is the part that ensures the engine speed of lawn and garden equipment is appropriate for the task. It acts as an actuator that helps engage the throttle cable. This opens up the carburetor so that more fuel and air can be added to the combustion chamber. Since the throttle control is used whenever the tool is being utilized, it can start to wear out or break down as time goes on. It can also be damaged through impact. If the throttle trigger is no longer working or has been damaged, it will need to be replaced. The first step in the process is removing the control handle assembly with a screwdriver. Next, the throttle trigger can be removed from the handle while being careful to immobilize the return spring using pliers. Take the spring and slide it over the new trigger's shaft before putting it back into the appropriate position. Install the trigger and put the other parts back in place. Made to fit Echo pole pruners, string trimmers, and edgers, this throttle control comes as an individual component. It is a genuine OEM part that is provided directly from the manufacturer.

This throttle cable is a typical component in lawn and garden equipment like string trimmers. The part is used to link the throttle trigger to the carburetor assembly so the equipment runs smoothly. A throttle cable has a small connector on each end. The cable and connectors can be kinked or otherwise damaged during use.Replacing a broken throttle cable requires work gloves and basic tools. First, the throttle cable needs to be removed. This can be done by taking apart the throttle housing on each side of the machine. Take the new replacement cable and pass it through the engine housing and the carburetor mounting plate. The housing can be pressed into the cable before reassembling other parts. This is a throttle cable that is sold as an individual part. It is an authentic OEM replacement part that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. The cable is designed for use with string trimmers, hedge trimmers, pole saws, and edgers manufactured by Echo.
