Hotpoint Refrigerator Parts

• Freezer not defrosting
• Freezer section too warm
• Fridge too warm

Ordered a ge thermostat part . Took everything out of freezer , unscrewed panel and took the plate out. Used a hair dryer to defrost ice. Took out old part and installed new part. Everything is working just fine!!! Used a meter to test old/bad part and indeed it was dead. Read more

Replaced the evaporator fan motor. On line video did a good job showing how to remove and install the motor. It took about 2 hours to remove, 3 days to recieve the new part and 3 hours to put it in. Plugged in the refrigerator and looked at the freezer temp the next morning and the thermometer was at zero degrees F with good air flow. Refrigerato temperature is reading 40 degrees F. Read more

I did not have the model number of the refrigerator! I looked everywhere, but I think it had been ripped off. This left me with the difficult task of trying to look through pictures of dairy doors and freezer shelves, armed with only the approximate dimensions of the pieces. Inspected the Defrost timer and it seamed to be functioning properly. Ohm ed out the defrost heater element and it also measured out correctly (mine 34 ohms). Bypassed the heater element and found that the unit would run without tripping breaker during defrost cycle. At this point i inspected the wiring to the heater and checked continuity of the wire and continuity to ground, No issues found. Verified power to the motor, then I replaced the faulty motor. I also had to defrost the freezer shutter door. Read more

After replacing both defrost thermo's, defrost control and temp sensor I replaced the defrost heater. fridge has not had an issue since, been only a few weeks though. hopefully this solves the issue. GE model #-GTS22JBPBRWW Read more

Thanks to the AppliancePartsPro, I ordered it online and received it quickly. I even used the step by step directions on how to replace the tube from the AppliancePartsPro website. Just be very careful and review the instructions first. Couple of important things: 1. Take a picture of the existing wiring and tubes before you take them apart. 2. *if* you remove the wires ( red and white plugs) from the valve, make sure you plug them back in correctly. 3.
