My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. The new slides fit perfectly. One thing to mention is that the slide rails come with the slide bearings so you do not need to buy those separate. When I called I was told I needed the bearings so I bought 3 assuming I would be able to salvage the others. Turns out I did not need them. Read more

• Fridge runs too long

First, cleaned all the dirt and lint from the condenser radiator, the fan motor is in a metal housing holding the fan motor in place. look carefully and there is a sheet metal screw at the bottom of the housing, 1/4 inch screw head sheet metal screw. The indication was that when I tried to use the icemaker or water dispenser, the green LED on the front would dim and the ice maker dispenser wouldn't work. It was intermittent at first, but this indicated it may be a power management issue, in that insufficient voltage was getting to the ice dispenser motor. To verify if you have a bad valve in the first place read on... I first pulled out the ice maker to remove all the frozen water including the inlet section which was a huge solid waterfall of ice. While it was out completely disconnected I cleaned/chipped out the freezer section ice puddle. I also completely melted the ice cubes and ice puddles off the ice maker at the fill bucket end in the sink with running water careful to not get water near the power cord area.
