The Drive Cup is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This part engages with other parts to drive the ice out of the molds and into the storage bin.  

Causes of Drive Cup failure can range from physical wear and tear from regular use, which may lead to cracks or deformities in the part, to accumulation of frost or ice that hinders its movement.  

Symptoms of a malfunctioning Drive Cup include:

  • The ice maker fails to eject ice properly, leading to clogs or jams within the system.
  • Unusual noises during the ice-making cycle, which could indicate that the drive cup is not engaging correctly with other components.
  • Decreased efficiency in ice production, as the mechanism struggles to operate smoothly.

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
