Well, I got online and found several YouTube videos on how to check what was happening. I have a multimeter and tools. I first replaced the external water filter just to make sure it wasn't that, and it needed it. That wasn't the problem. I then removed the water inlet valve which was really easy. I didn't disconnect the water lines but I did unplug the power plug. Using the ohms setting on the meter, I tested the coil of the valve solenoid. It wasn't open. I checked the voltage at the plug... My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. I simply removed the control panel by pulling up and out on the bottom edge, the edge is only about 1/8 inch thick, so don't reach in to far. Unfortunately, this part isn't sold separately, but the plastic that is attached to the metal spring that allows the actuator to disengage broke and I had to physically pull the "paddle" part back up for the water to stop coming out. Easy removal with a square bit screwdriver. First, take off the trim piece underneath the LCD display (screws are underneath), then take out the screws for the LCD display and pull down and out, then unplug the wires. • Ice maker dispenses too much ice

Ice Door Kit, Control Bracket, and Ice Dispenser Guide were purchased. I followed two videos on replacing the parts. The Control Bracket WP2180226 / AP6005965, was straight forward and I discovered a snapped pin on the old bracket causing an electric switch to be out of place... that repair was easy. I also ordered a new micro switch since one of the switches had started to require more and more pressure to actuate. Figured I'd fix it at the same time. • Door sweating

The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. This melt-then-freeze would happen, to the extent the chute froze to its own closure. Despite service technician visits over a period of six years nothing they did resolved the issue. Shopped online and found your great website, read reviews and based diagnostics on similarities I saw in other peoples stories. So I was able to choose correctly when replacing the circuit board. As far as the water switch in door, and drawer parts I just replaced them because I was tired of gluing them, and knew that with everything working good again and looking good, that it would be like a Tune up for our refrigerator. Unplug refrigerator. Use non marring (plastic trim stick) tool to gently pry loose the plastic assembly containing the PCB display beginning at the lower edge and proceeding around the outer edge. Disconnect all connectors and note the routing of each wire harness and connector (take pictures on cellphone as necessary). First unplug or turn off the electrical breaker to the dishwasher. Then I removed the phillips head screws holding the inner door to the outer door panel. I then removed the hex head screws holding the dispenser assembly. The electrical connection needs to be disconnected and then reverse the procedure to install the new dispenser. • Will not dispense detergent

I ordered a new soap dispenser and began a new venture in repairing my dishwasher. I turned off the breaker that suppled power to the unit. I removed all the T-15 torx screws from the inside cover except one, which my wife helped me hold in. This prevents the cover from dropping off. Then, after removing those two, we closed the dishwasher cover, and lifted off the outside cover. That being off, I saw the two wires connecting the dishwasher dispenser solinoid. Removed them. • Will not fill with water

After watching the YouTube video provided by Appliancepartspros and checking various forums I determined the dispenser motor had gone out. Turns out, it was a two part problem. The connectors to the motor, and the motor had corroded. Cleaned them both with vinegar. The old motor did a load before I started having problems with the CCU.
