I bumped into my KitchenAid dishwasher and the upper rack adjuster cracked. There was already a crack on the notch of the housing where the handle (lever) sits. The part just snaps on the basket. You have to remove the clips on the end of the runner arms to be able to remove the basket. Once it was out the old arm snap off and you snap on the new arm. Only problem was my old arm was fine and I wished the company would just sell the gasket. It seems a waste to have to purchase the whole arm. I ordreded the tine clip kit. APPros was the least expensive, even with the shipping charge, and I had it in two days. Replacement piece snapped into place with very little difficulty. I also have extras from the kit so I am set if another breaks. Read more

We knew at least one door hinge cable assembly or hinge spring was broken (the door started falling down rapidly and became heavy to close) so we ordered two of each since we had read to go ahead and replace the damaged items on both sides. My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! This was a dishwasher swap out. I first turned the water off to the inlet hose of the dishwasher from underneath the sink. Removed the inlet water hose from sink to dishwasher. (use wrench or adjustable wrench) Then removed the screws securing old dishwasher from the cabinetry. I then pulled out the dishwasher from the cabinetry hole it was in.
