Dishwasher failed to run normal cycle. Would fill and then empty, but would not run through the normal rinse/clean cycle. Determined that the Sump/Motor Assembly needed to be replaced. Dishwasher had to be pulled out to access part. Was difficult to snap into place and had to maneuver several times to get a tight seal before reattaching peripheral components. Ran a one-hour cycle to test for leaks and efficiency before reinstalling unit under counter. Read more

This repair could have killed or maimed me -- really! Left door spring snapped. Online search, APP was only source with both door spring and linkage. Discovered link for APP repair-instruction video (not very well marked on parts page). This well-done video really helped build my confidence. Common sense told me to also replace unbroken spring and both linkages. Parts + shipping = $75 -- wow, that hurt. Surprised how fast the parts shipped & arrived by ground! I've had to repair this appliance before, and it's almost always the motor-pump that needs replacing. It's a pretty easy fix if you have a roll out dishwasher. All you have to do is flip the dishwasher on its back, unhook the pump (no tools required, just push down the locking tab and twist and disconnect the wiring), and plug in the new one. In the How to fix it your self section of Questions and Answers, your answers for removing the Base Spray Arm is incorrect. It states "just stick a screw driver into the base spray arm from inside the tub and turn", that does not work. Their are 2 tabs that in gauge the base spray arm with the tub. A 4 prong round wrench is required to insert from the bottom into the pump connector and turn the nut that sits inside. Read more

No, they are not always the cheapest nor do they have all parts for everything (who does?) but their website is the easiest to use and cost differences are usually slight. • Not drying dishes properly

The solenoid that opened the air vent for drying was broken so it was open during the wash cycle allowing water to escape into the air duct. Found the part at SearsParts and AppliancePartsPro, and Sears was $15 more expensive. I ordered on Friday from AppliancePartsPro and selected standard shipping and the part arrive the next day (Saturday). Amazing service. AppliancePartsPro will be my first stop in the future. Read more
