The Coupling Washer is a genuine OEM part for LG washing machines. As a crucial component connecting the drive motor to the inner drum, the coupling washer allows for the transmission of rotational force during the spin cycle. This rotational movement generated by the drive motor is what extracts water from clothing, effectively drying clothes. 

Symptoms of a bad coupling washer include:

• The washing machine fails to spin or rotates very slowly
• Vibrations and noise during spinning
• Rubber couplings tearing or shredding prematurely

Over time, the constant exposure to vibrations and forces during spin cycles can cause the rubber material of the coupling washer to deteriorate.
