Cycle would complete but dishes weren't clean (not even really wet) and soap wasn't dissolving. Could hear fill at start but maybe not spraying or filling again in cycle. Thought it was the control board, but actually this was not the error. Replaced the control board and same problem arose, only new control board version actually stopped cycle with message that dishwasher couldn't fill. Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. The odor in the dishwasher was due to scum buildup in the walls, the racks, and in the lower part of the drain below the lower rotating arm. One of the valves in the vertical tube was stuck in the open position; since the valves cannot be replaced, the entire tube needed replacement. The check valve probably needed no replacement, but once I opened the bottom part, I decided to replace it anyway. I figured the valve that allowed water into the dishwasher was bad, or some controlling function of this process. I went online, typed in model number and had a full exploded view of the parts in my dishwasher. I ordered the inlet solenoid valve as the first step to what may be wrong. Turns out this part was the problem. With the online video it made replacement a breeze. Thank you APP for the RIGHT part AND instructions. Online purchasing and delivery are easy and timely. Replaced the water inlet valve and float switch. Read more

I first installed the inlet pump with no results. I then ordered a Control Switch and Float and Nut. This fixed the problem. Everything comes out so clean. I also replaced the filter which allowed me to clean debris around old filter. It is also easier to replace all these parts with the dishwasher pulled out and tilted on its side. I had to pull mine out to unplug power to the dishwasher. Read more
