Soap or rinse aid dispenser not opening? This wax motor actuates the dispenser door release. DIYers report 15-30 minute repairs with basic tools.
I found the videos on dishwasher repair that AppliancePartsPros offers and determined the likely cause of the problem. I removed the door cover and found soap caked on the back. I cleaned the cover and switched the wax motors to see if the clean rinse motor was good and ran a tested cycle. No improvement. I ordered two new wax motors for the Maytag dishwasher and those arrived in a few days from AppliancePartsPros. I replaced the old motors and ran a test cycle. The soap tray opened correctly.... Fix a dishwasher that stops mid-cycle with a blinking start light. This door interlock switch restores reliable operation. 20-minute DIY repair.
Looked online, appeared to be door switch or control panel. Tried door switch first, a $30 part. Installed new door switch and washer started right up and appears to be fixed. Have not tried full wash cycle yet, but problem appears to be fixed. I decided to buy part from AppliancePartsPros.com because I could return the part if it did not correct the problem, no one else offered such a deal. I will only deal with AppliancePartsPros in the future, they were extremely helpful on the phone! Read more

Fixes ice buildup on freezer back wall and restores airflow. This radiant defrost heater melts frost from evaporator coils during defrost cycles.
After watching numerous videos I was able to discern that the problem was with one of the following: the timer, the heater, or the thermostat. a short time check showed me that the timer was working so that narrowed it down to the other two. Not having the necessary tools to check those two I ordered both parts. Once the parts came and I took out the old parts it was quite evident that it was the heater since it had black burn marks on it. I decided to install the thermostat also since it... Read more

Purchased the triple burner and dual burner element. I added my model of stove and I was able to pull up diagrams of the stove parts. Replacement upper spray arm for dishwashers. Installs on the top rack level to restore water distribution. Replace if cracked, clogged, or broken.
This is a 12 year old Kenmore, but my experience applies to many dishwashers. The machine had run for almost a year without being cleaned. I found parts had failed from age and water passages were jammed with hard-water deposits and pieces of food, labels, etc. that had gotten past the filters. I cleaned out what I could and replaced parts that could not be cleaned or were damaged. Dishwasher now works better than it has for years. The work, including ordering parts, took about 4 hours, but... Read more
