Replaced the igniter, Simple but there are several points to remember. TURN THE POWER OFF 1) remove the oven door or you will have a hard time reaching the back of the oven. Mine just lifted off. 2) The igniter tip is fragile put a drop cloth over the oven floor in case you drop it even after it is in its holder. 3) The drop cloth will catch screws too if you drop them so they won't fall into the oven. 4) The cable from the oven is very short even after pulling it out from the hole at the back.... I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. Turned off power supply. Removed two screws (near the oven door) holding the ceramic top. Slid the top forward, disengaged the two power supply cables, and removed one ground wire. Removed range top, and put on a flat surface. Unclamped two power supply wires, one ground wire and one thermocouple wire from the element. This was an incredibly easy fix. Took 15 minutes max. Unscrewed the innermost door panel and removed the bracket that held the old glass in. Set the new glass in place, put the bracket back, and put the put panel/glass back and screwed it back in. Read more

DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws. After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver.
