The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. Removed oven door, took door apart replaced oven hinges. Pulled oven out of recess to access hinge receptacle. Replaced hinge receptacle. Read more

I wasn't sure if it would be easier to repair or replace, I went to google and found Appliance Pro and while finding the parts I needed, there were helpful videos on how to install.. So I took the chance and ordered parts, still a little nervous about how this whole process was going to work. Overall the fix wasn't too hard. The challenge was putting the oven door back together and holding it together while trying to tighten the screws. Enlisted my wife's help to hold the door and at first the handle screws wouldn't tighten. My cordless screwdriver's battery was under-charged. Once I switched batteries I was able to tighten the screws. Seemed like I needed to push too hard (my wife freaked "not so hard you will strip them!") however pushing hard was what was needed.
