Burner stuck on high or won't adjust temperature? This infinite switch controls heat levels on cooktop elements. DIY repair takes 1-2 hours with power off.
Based on internet search and data found on APPLIANCE PARTS PRO, I deduced that the "infinite control " module was most likely bad. Replaced it and all is good. Toughest part was remembering how to disengage cooktop from down draft blower and then pulling the cook top up in within it's opening. Once pulled up, I put short 2x4's across the opening corners to support the cooktop safely while I worked on it. Next issue was figuring out exactly which screws held the glass top in place. As... Oven not heating or baking unevenly? The bake element provides bottom heat for cooking. Simple DIY repair, typically takes under 20 minutes to replace.
1st. replaced thermostat probe inside wall oven - no change. Then removed range heating element and measured it with ohm meter for continuity and found it to be OPEN. Ordered replacement range heating element; measured it before install and found it to be a few ohms - installed in less than 5 minutes and tested. ALL WORKS GREAT. Both items purchased with shipping were just over $100. (I chose to keep the thermostat probe instead of returning it being the oven is just over 10 years old). Read more
Replaces worn dryer front bearing and seal that cause squealing or scraping noise. Essential for smooth drum rotation. Confirm fit with your model.
After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Apparently my older Whirlpool dryer has a somewhat ambiguous model number because the rollers that were shipped each time looked nothing like the originals. I realize that is not particularily uncommon - manufacturers often modify... Read more
Burner stuck on high or won't heat? This infinite switch controls cooktop element temperature. Common DIY repair taking 30-60 minutes with basic tools.
Had to replace the switch for the left rear burner on a Whirlpool cooktop Model W5CE3625AB00. I turned off the circuit breaker for the cooktop and lifted it out of the countertop. It was simply held down by its own weight. There were approximately a dozen screws holding the smooth surface down onto the rest of the unit. I removed those screws, which allowed the cooking surface to lift back on a hinge in the back of the unit. Two of those screws were stripped, but I was able to remove them... Read more
Freezer icing up or frost building on coils? The defrost heater melts ice from evaporator coils. Moderately difficult repair, about 1 hour install time.
Fridge keept building up ice in defrost drain drain in freezer. Once the drain pan filled with ice it drips into fridge compartment. After taking things apart three times to thaw it out, decided to replace defrost components - heater and temperature switch. In addition to new parts, also added a 12 gauge copper wire hook that hangs from defrost heater into the defrost drain. After this, the defrost cycle is running as expected, but will not know if the issue is corrected until a year or so... Read more

Burner stuck on high or won't turn off? This burner control switch regulates heat settings. Moderate DIY repair—label wires before swapping.
If one control starts to fail the rest are sure to follow soon - so I replaced all four on our JennAir S160. Looked up the parts on line. Due to my background as an aviation electrician in the Navy and then working as an electrical systems designer for a defense contractor the toughest part was the clean up. Oh Well. Read more

Drip pan kit installs below cooktop burners to catch spills and grease. Replace chipped, stained, or worn pans to restore a clean appearance. Kit includes pans.
These drip pans fit! I had bought some from a local big box store and they didn't fit. I only wish they still made them without the holes in the bottom of the drip pan. How's that supposed to hold a boil-over? But that's the manufacturer. AppliancePartsPros have always sent me orders right on time. Read more

Replace burner and receptacle. The product arrived promptly after order and the receptacle came in a factory Whirlpool bag, indicating it was a genuine Whirlpool part. Captures grease and prevents ventilation buildup in your microwave. Replace when clogged or damaged to maintain airflow. Confirm fit with your model number.
Well, I gotta say I was happy to find you still had parts for almost 20 year old microwaves. The microwave itself worked fine, so I hated to have to buy a new one, but I just couldn't take being hit in the head anymore; and my fix of using string and wire to tie it to the surrounding cabinets was unsightly to say the least. I'm glad I did some research and found this part - all I had to do was pop it in place and now the vent grill is secure. Problem solved with minimal cost. Read more
Sealed burner head for gas ranges. Sits on top of the cooktop to direct gas flow and create an even flame. Replace if cracked, corroded, or damaged.
I replaced the burner head. I turned off power to the stove, although I did not turn off the gas. I gave the old burner head a slight twist counter-clockwise until it lifted off the stove. I used the pliers to pull the wires from the old burner, then placed them onto the contacts on the new burner. Set it in place, and gave it a clockwise twist until it was snug. This stove originally came with gaskets beneath the burners, but the info for the replacement part stated that a gasket was not... Read more
