First, I rooked on YouTube for a video on how to fix it. The video brought me to a very helpful video with a link to your website. We have had this dryer since we bought the house 10 years ago and the thought of buying something new, that wasn't made as well was a dreaded thought. Located model number and went to Appliance Parts Pros.com to check the repair instructions on belt and motor. Used the suggestions to diagnose problem as a broken belt. I also ordered two top locks to replace the originals that were very brittle plastic that broke when I opened the dryer. Ordered the parts on Presidents Day, and received the parts the next day. After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Since the power cord was fastened to the back using 3 phillip headed screws, I gently backed them out with a phillip headed screwdriver. However, two of the 3 screws gave me extreme trouble. One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! We opened the dryer up with help from the videos on your site, and came to the conclusion that the rear drum-support rollers needed to be replaced. We thought the front bearing and seal looked a little past-it as well, so we ordered that and a new bearing ring to go with it, and a new dryer belt (just so we wouldn't have to get back into it again any time soon). After shopping for a new Whirlpool Thin Twin Stack, Found appliance parts pros online and decided to take it apart to see if repair was a possibility. Took it apart. Replaced various general maintenance parts, rollers, seals, clean out all the lint and replaced motor and put a new blower on it. Read more

Removed and replaced start switch then motor, no joy. removed the timer for disassembly, found bad contact. soldered contact to the spring tab and assembled and installed the timer. All good now. Read more

FIRST I PULL THE DRYER OUT FROM THE WALL AND TOOK THE BACK OFF. WITH A 5/16 NUT DRIVER. NEXT WITH A LIGHT SET UP I LOOKED FOR ANY BURNT, BROKEN,OR LOSE WIRES THAT MY HAVE COME OFF ANY CONNECTIONS. I HAVE AN ELECTRIC DRYER AND AS I LOOKED DOWN TO THE HEATING COIL AREA, WHAT I WILL CALL A HI-TEMP SWITCH I COULD SEE THAT THE PART APPEARED BURNT.
