My washing machine smelt horrible Bryan W. • Ogdensburg , NY • August 20, 2018
First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available....

The Spin Tube Thrust Washer is an OEM component for Whirlpool washing machines. It is a washer that fits around the agitator shaft and helps create a seal between the agitator shaft and the aluminum tub. This washer allows the agitator to spin freely during the wash and spin cycles without causing excessive vibration or noise.
Symptoms of a bad spin tube thrust washer include:
- Noises like banging or clunking coming from the agitator area
- Shaking or vibrating of the washer tub during spinning
Causes of a bad thrust washer include normal wear and tear after extended use. Exposure to extended periods of unbalanced loads can also put excessive strain on the washer components and lead to premature failure of the thrust washer seal.
This replacement part is also compatible with select Kenmore, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Jenn-Air models.

No spin every thing else worked made high speed ticking noise Anthony D. • Follansbee , WV • May 12, 2015
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in...

The Push Clip is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. Situated internally near the rear cylinder wall, it firmly secures the drum support roller assembly.

- Uneven drying and weakened tumbling action inside the cylinder
- Vibration or noise emerging from the rear roller area
- Premature wear signals stemming from dislocated roller assembly
This is a genuine Whirlpool OEM replacement this part is also compatible with Maytag, Jenn-Air and some Kenmore models.

Followed the video- opened the front of the dryer and removed the drum. It was evident that one of the wheels had worn and wasn't turning freely like the other one. The video showed how to remove the roller. Very simple process and now the dryer works just fine.

The Door Switch is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It is responsible for detecting whether the dryer door is open or closed. When the door is closed, the switch allows the dryer to operate. Conversely, if the door is open, the switch interrupts the electrical circuit to prevent the dryer from running, ensuring safety during use.
You should replace the door switch if it becomes faulty. Causes of a bad door switch can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical failures, or physical damage from repeated opening and closing of the dryer door. A malfunctioning door switch can prevent the dryer from starting or cause it to stop mid-cycle.
Symptoms of a bad door switch include:
- The dryer not starting or responding when the door is closed
- The dryer stopping mid-cycle without reopening the door
- The dryer continuing to run when the door is opened
- Error codes related to the door switch or door lock mechanism
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Dryer drum would not turn heat worked fine Charles K. • Pittsfield , MA • March 03, 2019
I used the web site to figure out the most likely causes for the drum not turning. I watched the web site's videos to see what I would have to do and thought it wasn't too bad; something a rookie could do. Ordered the parts (belt and idler arm) and followed the directions from the videos. Mostly a bunch of screws/bolts to remove with a couple in difficult places. (my dryer isn't full sized) There were some electrical connections to take apart. As i disassembled it, I took pictures of where...

Noisy & inefficient Richard M. • Indianapolis , IN • December 06, 2016
After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Apparently my older Whirlpool dryer has a somewhat ambiguous model number because the rollers that were shipped each time looked nothing like the originals. I realize that is not particularily uncommon - manufacturers often modify...

Replaced transmission (that was the problem) and clutch (if you're going to tear it down put in a new clutch - they're cheap). APPRO's video was a big help. Everything went as they showed except transmission does not just slide out. You have to work it in and out several times. Once it breaks free it will slip out. This was my first transmission. It was not nearly as hard as I had thought it would be.
