This pump outlet seal sits on the discharge side of the dishwasher pump to keep the outlet connection watertight. Replacing a worn seal helps stop leaks and keeps wash water contained during the cycle. What it does:
- Seals the joint at the pump outlet to prevent water leakage
- Helps maintain proper circulation by keeping the pump discharge airtight/watertight
- Common symptoms of failure include water under the unit, drips near the pump area, or a flattened/cracked/hardened old seal
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
- Remove the toe-kick/lower access panel to reach the pump area; place a towel or pan to catch residual water
- Note seal orientation; clean mating surfaces before installing the new seal
- Seat the seal evenly; reassemble and run a short test to check for leaks

Loud dishwasher producing dirty dishes Leon F. • Sylmar , CA • November 11, 2015
I nearly shelled out for a new Kitchenaid when I remembered APP and entered my model # just for fun. The interactive diagrams and install videos showed where all the parts "should" be, mine were badly disintegrated, so I replaced the damaged ones and swapped out all of the other easily accessible seals and bearings (also gave it a good and very disturbing cleaning). My parts surprisingly arrived next day and for about $40, the dishwasher is quiet and works like new again.

This genuine OEM part is a refrigerator upper dishrack. The upper dishrack is the tray on which dishes are placed on the top shelf of a dishwasher. If the dishrack is no longer sliding on its tracks, or is not staying in place during the wash cycle, it might need to be replaced. Luckily this is a very simple repair. To replace the upper dishrack, simply pull out the old dish rack and lift it up out of its tracks. Once removed from the dishwasher, take the new dishrack and gently slide it into place. Make sure it is placed correctly and that it is running smoothly on its tracks. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand dishwashers.

Leaking around dishwasher door previous repair missing parts Patrick R. • Peachtree City , GA • November 15, 2014
I ordered new seals from AppliancePartsPros.com. Finding the right seals was very easy, all based on model number of the appliance. While looking my unit over for other signs of wear, I noticed that a repair done by the prior homeowner to the lower wash arm was done improperly: a seal there was set protruding from the cover, the cover was missing screws, and the arm was missing the upper bushing. So I ordered a new seal, the missing screws, and both the top and bottom bushings (just to be...

Agitator wasnt sloshing Paige B. • Clarksville , TN • January 30, 2015
I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. I was very proud of myself, as a woman, that I fixed this problem myself and didnt have to pay a repair...

The dishwasher door spring broke. Rachael T. • Junction City , OR • November 07, 2022
I ordered the parts, deciding that if one spring had broken, the other one should probably be replaced at the same time. I followed the suggestion of ordering the door spring bearing given on the ordering page, and since I had not yet pulled out the dishwasher, did not know that it was not used in this older model. However, the order arrived quickly (4 days), and they are genuine Whirlpool, made in the USA, parts. The access to the sides of the dishwasher where the springs are attached...

Stopped running after rinse cycle and the clean light was flashed 3 times Clyde Y. • Turtle Creek , PA • August 29, 2015
Replaced the heating element as shown in the video. Repaired a bad connector on the wire leading to the heating element. The clean light still flashed 3 times. Determined that the thermal fuse also needed to be replaced. Replaced the thermal fuse as shown in the video. The clean light now flashed 7 times which I discovered meant that the control panel needed to be reset. I then reset the control panel by pressing the buttons: normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry. It now works perfectly.
