Wobbling/loud tub on lg washer (broken spider) Ryan T. • Indianapolis , IN • January 20, 2017
I opted to save myself about $600 by repairing my 8 year old LG washing machine rather than buying a new one. After watching some videos I determined what I needed upon taking my washing machine apart. I ended up replacing the tub (includes spider and shaft), since I could not get the spider part removed from the original tub, as well as the motor bolt (which had broken when I removed it from the original tub's shaft). The spider was cracked and the shaft was wobbling which caused it to...

Symptoms of a problematic damper are
- incomplete or lengthy drying cycles.

LG front loading washer leaking water. James R. • Pepperell , MA • July 15, 2022
The hot inlet valve was dripping water, replaced it. Water and soap were coming out of the vent pipe. The new Float assembly had a shorter shaft than the old Float Assembly I was replacing. I did install the new Float Assembly and cleaned the vent hose where the float seats and I haven't seen any more water on the floor. Both repairs were made easy by watching your repair videos.

Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. I was cleaning the supply hose filter screen constancely, I had no Idea there was filter screens in the pump intakes on the machine. once I found them and replaced them, I had plenty of water, so don't buy supply hoses with the screens in them until you check to see if your machine has them already.

Bad bearings seal and spider David R. • Jacksonville , FL • February 04, 2017
If your LG Front load washers sounds like a freight train, STOP USING IT. You're doing more damage and will need more parts to fix it.
After the noise became unbearable, I began to explore and disassemble. I knew enough to know the bearings must be bad but had never done this repair before. ( I am however pretty mechanically inclined.)
Watch this video before you start tearing your LG apart. APP did a great job explaining the steps of the repair. Do a search on this site or youtube.com with...

Leaking water from bottom of front door. Kirk D. • Gilbert , AZ • February 24, 2020
Turned out that the large gray boot/gasket had finally started to harden and deteriorate right at the bottom where the drain hose is. No surprise it leaked after seeing that. Installing the new gasket (and new clamps which I figured I would replace at the same time) did the trick. Fairly simple install. Do yourself a favor and buy the spring pliers to remove/install the clamps. Well worth the time and hassle they will save you.

Wahser made a loud noise in spin cycle Michael Z. • Indianapolis , IN • October 18, 2014
I suspected the tub gears where ready to break so I dismantled my LG WM2032HW front load washer. I found the spyder gear corroded and broken. I also found that the stainless steel drum abraded the front tub cover so bad, it was cracked. My washer is an early model and always had standing water in the door seal after a wash. What I learned is LG stopped making the orginal front tub cover and replaced it with one that had a drain hole at the bottom front edge. I also learned that this new...
