Looked online at several websites to see if I could figure out the problem Came across AppliancePartsPros video on replacing bearings. Ordered boot, nozzle, and inner spring for boot. Would have ordered outer, but the schematic for parts made it very difficult to navigate to locate parts...24 hr/next day air and I have a happy wife. The only thing that would have made it easier, was having a pair of Spring Expansion pliers, be careful not to pinch inner boot! The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... Removed the top cover while the machine was operating, located the source of the leak. The top filler tube had worn a hole in a flex point. Found the right part on this site, replaced it with little effort. While in there I saw a similar hose and decided to replace it as its time was probably up too. If your LG Front load washers sounds like a freight train, STOP USING IT. You're doing more damage and will need more parts to fix it. After the noise became unbearable, I began to explore and disassemble. I knew enough to know the bearings must be bad but had never done this repair before. Watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos to replace the tub bearings. Completely disassembled the washing machine. Found that water leaked past the rear tub gasket causing the inner tube bearing to corrode. Replaced both bearings and tub gasket. Inner bearing was the cause of the problem but I replaced both bearings and tub gasket. Read more

Replaced all three dampers and then replaced locking gaskets for the top spring mounts for the drum, replaced the old feet pads I had and works like a charm! Read more

Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. I suspected the tub gears where ready to break so I dismantled my LG WM2032HW front load washer. I found the spyder gear corroded and broken. I also found that the stainless steel drum abraded the front tub cover so bad, it was cracked. My washer is an early model and always had standing water in the door seal after a wash.
