This is an idler pulley. It is a genuine Husqvarna part. It is a replacement part for lawn tractors and riding mowers. The idler pulley allows the engine to start by applying tension to the blade belt. It is not uncommon for the pulley to become damaged through normal wear and tear, and it can also be damaged in an accident. If this happens, the machine may not start properly or at all. Check the user manual for instructions for replacing it. Some disassembly of the mower deck may be required.
