Made by Bosch. Common program control module for Bosch dishwashers SHU53/68. NOTE The manufacturer has redesigned the cover and indicator lights. Lights may be covered by the plastic case. You may have to remove the square covers over the indicator lights if needed. The same case is used for 6 and 8 indicator light models. They also no longer use the red bulb indicator lights, small surface mounted lights are used instead. If you require the Jumper Wire that goes with certain models, the part number is 00167782.

Toni Y for Model Number Bosch Dishwasher SHU6805UC/12

The dishwasher runs, but the water doesn't get hot. This happened previously, and my husband fixed after reading on the internet that the issue is generally caused by a failed weld on the control panel. After he fixed it, the dishwasher worked 2-3 years, and then we had the same problem. He tried welding again, it worked about 8 weeks and has failed again. Think it may be time to order a new control panel - do you know if we need any other parts to fix this issue?

Carmine for Model Number SHU4322UC/U12

I have a Bosch Dishwasher, Model # SHU4322UC/U12. It was running when we lost power due to Hurricane Sandy. Now when we use the Delicate/Econo cycle, it stays on Wash. Unless I press "Cancel", it never goes to drain and therefore, never goes to Dry. The timer will count down to "1" and it will remain there until I press Cancel. I cleaned the filters, blew out the drain line, and cleaned the float. The Rinse and Hold cycle works fine. What do you think the problem is? Why doesn't it go to Rinse and Dry?

Hello Carmine. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control module 00266746 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

The dishes on the bottom rack don't seem to be getting clean, with actual food particles (which are soft and wipe off) being left on them. I cleaned the bottom spray arm, and also ran the dishwasher for a minute without the spray arm. I wanted to see if the arm is moving, so I let it run a bit and opened the door really fast. It looked like the water coming out of the holes in the arm was only coming up about six inches or so. I guess I figured the water would be coming out much faster, like with a high pressure type velocity. How much water should be coming out, and how would I check it? I've read about circulation pumps, and restricted circulation pumps. Any way to find if that is the case? What do you think? Thanks.

Hi. Remove the top filter screen part # 00441905 and the micro basket part # 00615079 to see if it is not clogged as well. Remove the circulation pump part # 00239144 to dislodge any debris clogged in the impeller blade from turning. Circulation Pump Repair Kit part # 00167085. If the impeller spins loose on the shaft then you will not get high water spray levels desired. The manufacturer does not give us a wash arm gpm or pressure output measurement value. IF the impeller is clogged or damaged then it will not allow the full internal water pressure to circulate. Thank You.

Hello Bernie, If you look at the third picture of the part on our site, you will notice three places across the bottom that are notched. These are the tabs that lock the control onto the metal frame. If you depress each of the three places from one side to the other while putting slight upward pressure on the control, it will pop out. This seems simple, but if you put too much pressure on it, it will not want to come out and if you don't put enough, it will also give you a hassle to come out. Rest assured, it will come out . Just be patient and work slowly and it will come out easier than you expect it to.

Ovidiu Predescu for Model Number SHI6805UC/U12

My dishwasher has a problem similar to one already mentioned in this thread. My dishwasher seems to run fine until it reaches the rinse and drain cycle, right at the end. When the timer says it only has few more minutes to run (say 7 minutes), it suddenly jumps to 25 or so. It eventually goes back down to 1 minute left, but then it seems to get stuck there forever. I need to manually rinse and drain every time. Is this an indication the control module is bad? What part number do I need to get for my dishwasher?

1 Answer

Ovidiu, The fluctuating time display is usually due to a weak or damaged circuit in the control module 00266746, You'll need to remove the lower access panel, and water valve, and use an inspection mirror and check for water, accumulated on the base of the dishwasher, or a "stuck" flood switch and lever 00263123,00165301. If the float or lever is stuck or theres water in the base of the dishwasher, the dishwasher will continue to run and drain, and stall the display at the 1 minute mark.

Chihming for Model Number SHU5300 series,

The spec on your web site for control module 266746 said that " Lights may be covered by the plastic case. You may have to remove the square covers over the indicator lights if needed. The same case is used for 6 and 8 indicator light models. They also no longer use the red bulb indicator lights, small surface mounted lights are used instead." Is it difficult to remove those square covers?, and will it show lights since the red indicator is no longer used?

1 Answer

Hello Chihming. No, the covers are not hard to remove and the lights on the new control 00266746 are red so the lens are no longer needed.

I plan to buy a control mod AP2002070. The data states "They also no longer use the red bulb indicator lights, small surface mounted lights are used instead". What exactly are "small surface mounted lights"? Does this mean running wires and lights on the exterior of the dishwasher front panel? Thanks! Jerry, Since the heater is not energized in the final rinse, but is energized in the wash cycle, we wouldn't expect the heater to be the issue. That pretty much leaves the control module 00647474 as the culprit.
