Joe July 19, 2012 for Model Number SHX68r52 bosch dishwasher When I turn it on it drains tub then fills tub normally, after one minute it goes into wash cycle however nothing happens no water is spraying. Counts down the cycle normally, and finishes normally. All wash options work normally except no water spraying. Repair man says it needs a new circulation pump. My Bosch dishwasher is 4.5 years old, how do I know it is not the control board? Is there a way to test the circulation pump before I buy a new one?
1 Answer Hello Joe, These can be tested by removing the kick panel and (in some cases) removing the door panel (for room to access the motor assembly). There is an extra piece of metal across the top of the access panel which is held on by two screws. This makes accessing the motor easy. Make sure the test meter is set to ac voltage and not resistance, then start the unit with the test leads in the wire connectors. If you see 120Vac at the motor terminals and the motor doesn't run, the motor i bad. If you never get the 10Vac at the motor, the harness or the board are at fault. Read More...
She June 16, 2012 for Model Number Shu43co7uc Could a need for the control module be the reason the pump is not spraying enough water? I found out there is a Bosch recall on the control module and I have separately had a repairman tell me I need a new circulating pump! Help!
1 Answer She, Based on your post information, You may want to start at the fill valve 00425458 it could be restricted or have an internal failure and not allowing enough water into the tub and pump assembly. There should be at least 3/4 to 1 inch depth of water in the bottom of the tub after the fill cycle, and the dishwasher is running a couple of minutes. Then consider the circulation pump 00239144 or pump repair kit 00167085, if the impeller assembly has gotten damaged or clogged, this could reduce the pressure and water flow, as well. You may need the control module for a different reason. Thanks Read More...
Walter May 19, 2012 for Model Number shu9905uc/uc06 How does one tell if the control module is bad? I checked the door switch and power switch they seem fine. Machine runs in test mode draIn pump started, fill started ( not hooked up to water so stoped there and cancled test mode). But it does not start up normal in any cleaning mode. LED's light up but do not stay lit. thanks
1 Answer Hello Walter. Test and see if you are loosing power from the control module 00266746. If so, you will need to replace the control module. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kd May 16, 2012 for Model Number Bosch SHU53 Further to earlier question and response, I had transferred over the jumper. But as to your direction to reset the control panel by putting it into cancel/drain mode, I can't do that because it won't go into start/run mode. It looks to me like I misdiagnosed the problem since it's behaving exactly as it did before I changed the panel. As noted, when powered up I get a flash of the number 88 on the countdown, then all the lights flash a few times, then it goes dark and dead. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello KD. It does not sound like a control panel issue, it sounds more like a control module 00266746 issue with the unit. Read More...
Kd May 12, 2012 for Model Number Bosch SHU5315UC Control panel quit working. When turned on the wash time display flashed random numbers dimly and then all the lights flashed dimly and then stopped. Replaced control module with #266746, powered up and still the same problem - when powered up, did the flashing business and then nothing. Doesn't do anything at all now unless the DW is unplugged and plugged back in. The control module did not come with any programming instructions as referenced in some of the other questions here. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hi KD. To reset the control module AP2802870, you will put the dishwasher into the cancel/drain mode and let it complete the cycle. When you installed the new control remove the jumper from the original front lower right hand # 1 board male port. Starting from the extreme lower rt.corner, there is a 6-terminal connector with a jumper wire looping # 5 and # 6 terminals. (counting from the right to the left). Use this on your new board. Then reset the controls. Thank You. Read More...
Sheman May 02, 2012 for Model Number she43c02uc/43 My dishwasher will not drain and no lights appear to come on. Had the repair guy come out and he said it was control panel. Frank April 25, 2012 for Model Number mdbh955aww put a new door catch handle on ,but now none of the control cycle lights come on unless i push in hard on the front panel at the same time i push start?
1 Answer Frank, Something is out of position, alignment or broken. you may want to recheck the handle attached to the latch assembly and the latch to make sure things are seated and aligned properly. When you press in on the control panel/door, the door switches are activated and the control will program. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Ann April 09, 2012 for Model Number SHE44C02UC/36 Just replaced control module and did a test quick wash. All worked well until final minute. Washer kept running and would not drain. Pressed cancel drain and it did drain, washer was hot inside. I read control module should be reset after installing new one. Any suggestions? Also, I did a diagnostic test and it is showing PO, quick wash light is a steady on and rinse & hold light is flashing.
1 Answer Hi Ann. To reset the unit, you will disconnect the power coming to the unit for 10 to 15 minutes. This clears the control module 00266746 and reset it. Read More...
Joseph M. April 03, 2012 for Model Number Bosch SHU5315 - UC/UC12 Dishwasher I just purchased a Control Module for my Dishwasher. I am trying to figure out how to take the panel off so I can get to the module. I unscrewed 10 torx screws and the front panel came off, but the panel that covers the module is still there. Is there more screws some were else? Does the small panel pop off? Could you please help me out? Thank You, Joe
1 Answer Hello Joe, Look on the sides of the inside of the door liner. There are two screws where no one would expect to look. If you look from the side of the door with the door open, one is visible on each side. (Looking from the side is the key). Also, if I could give you a tip on reassembly, put the control panel back on the front panel before you attempt to reassemble. There are 4 or 5 notches across the top of the door panel that have to line up perfectly to get it all back together. If you place the control panel on the front door panel before you screw it all together, it will save you at least 20 minutes of fighting with the whole thing! Read More...
