Frank I have ordered the controller part for my refrigerator. My model number was FRS26LH5DS0 and the part number that they gave me was 297237702. The connection that goes right above the capacitor will not fit, is there something I can do so it will work, or is there a part number for that two wire connection.

The start device should be 297237702 and the capacitor 297286803, these are "substitute" part numbers from the manufacturer. They may be slightly different than the original parts. In most cases, the size of the terminals have been changed from 1/4 inch terminals to 1/8 inch terminals. You may have to go by the local hardware store, auto supply or home improvement center or "Radio Shack" and pick up some replacement terminals. Read More...
