Hello Jack. If there is power being supplied to the valve from the icemaker and it is over flowing, you will need to replace the icemaker DA97-00258C on the unit. If there is no power, then replace the water valve DA74-40150H.

Bo, If the ice tray fell and broke into pieces you will need to clean out the bin and install a new icemaker. If the bin was damaged then you will need to replace either the entire bin or the parts of the bin that are damaged.

Freddo, We do not have a breakout diagram that will show where this attaches. If you pull the icemaker out and flip it over, at the front bottom of the icemaker mold between the first and second slot is where the pieces would go.

Hello Steve, There is most likely a layer of mineral deposits on the ice tray DA63-01453B and it should be replaced if it will not wash off with hot white vinegar. There could also be a "harvest notch" that causes a twist in the ice tray which is designed to break the cubes free from the tray. If this is missing/broken off, the complete icemaker assembly DA97-00258J should be replaced.

Hello Cathy, This is caused by a combination of the impurities in the water and how fast the water is frozen. The clearest ice that can be made consists of pure water, (all impurities have been filtered out). Also, the slower the water freezes, the clearer the water appears. You can install a filter before the refrigerator so the water for the ice is filtered and you can set the freezer temperature to run from 0°F to 10°F. This is cold enough to cycle the icemakers' thermostat, without being cold enough to freeze the water too fast.

Jackie for Model Number Rfg29thdrs/xaa

I have a french door refrigerator/freezer with a top ice maker in the frig and one in the freezer. The upper ice make sprang a massive leak and dumped water in the refrigerator and through the dispenser opening. The repairman who came said we needed a new ice maker assembly. I found a video online on how to replace it, easy installation. I ordered the part and replaced the ice maker. However the new one is not working. Water is not filling and the ice maker is not cycling. I am getting water out of the door dispenser and the lower ice maker in the freezer is working fine. Any idea what could be wrong? I did press the reset button on the new ice maker after it was installed.

Jackie, With the icemaker not working even with the reset being pushed. this issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty control board. This control may have caused the icemaker to overfill.

Jeff, With the icemaker not working when you hit the test button then this issue would be caused by the icemaker and it would need to be replaced.
