Glenn, For this issue it will most likely be caused by either the freezer temp not being correct or the control board is not reading the thermistor for the icemaker properly.

Hello Tom, This sounds like you have received a bad new icemaker. There is a temperature sensor on the icemaker that tells it when the water is cold enough to be frozen. This will cause the icemaker to cycle. This unit has an infrared sensor system that is used to stop the unit from cycling when the ice level is full.

Hello Don, This is caused by an insufficient water fill. You will need to verify water pressure to the unit. If good, replace the water inlet valve DA62-04027A. If this does not correct the issue, the contacts in the icemaker assembly are bad and the icemaker assembly DA97-15217D will need to be replaced. If your unit is one without water dispense you would need water valve DA62-04258A.

Rebecca, You will want to cycle the icemaker and check to make sure that the water valve is getting 120 vac to it. If there is no power to the valve then the icemaker would be the issue. If there is power then the valve is faulty.
