Scott November 25, 2012 Keep getting E4F1 code, and stove turns off. What steps should I take from here? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Scott. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Pam November 16, 2012 for Model Number SVE47600b Hi, I just replaced part # 71001799 after having no clock or heat to the oven.. the stove topped worked, fan and oven light also.. after replacing part, clock works, stove top, fan and light. I set the oven to heat and it is stuck on 100 preheat and not heating. There is a faint high pitched sound as well (almost like its trying to heat). since its computerized.. do I need to give time for it to (reboot) sort of speak, or should it come right on?
1 Answer Hello Pam. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the relay board W10757086 will need to be replaced as well. What ever damaged the clock, got the relay board as well in the unit. Read More...
Pamela November 08, 2012 Hi, I have a jenn aire model# sve47600b. Recently our clock was getting dimmer and dimmer until nothing. Our oven is not working, however, the stove top does and the fan works. Do I need a control board, relay board or both? And how easy would it be to replace them? Is there a manual on how to do that?
1 Answer Hello Pamela, Based on the information provided it appears that the clock assembly WP71001799 would need to be replaced. To remove the panel to change the clock assembly there should be a couple of screws on the bottom of the panel and it should roll up to expose control. Read More...
Leslie October 22, 2012 for Model Number SCE30060W The stove top worked fine, but when any part of the oven is attempted to be turned on, it errors with an F code and beeps until the breaker is flipped off. I've read that the "control panel" needs to be replaced, but in searching for parts, its a bit confusing - "overlay assembly" "electronic control assembly", please help!
1 Answer Hi Leslie, I'm not sure which code you had but if you need the control panel, order part# WP71002233. It is sometimes called an "overlay assembly", same thing. If you need the electronic control, order part# WP71001799. Hope this helps! Read More...
Bill October 10, 2012 for Model Number sve47600b jennair model sve47600b----oven was on conv bake suddenly. the oven temp went up to "clean" range++the element melted----the clock control unit went blank---replaced the element and clock control unit --now clock display works and shows all programed functions, but the oven will not heat neither bake, broil, convect or regular--no heat and no conv fan----what do I do next?? thanks Bill
1 Answer Bill, The next step will be to turn the power off to the range, disconnect the exhaust vent from the blower or plenum. You'll need to slide the range out of the cabinet, remove the back panel cover and check the relay board W10757086 and wiring for damage. Read More...
Bill October 01, 2012 for Model Number sve47600b previously, I sent an inquiry re the oven control unit and display and how it burned the roast (see above) you suggested the replacement of the control unit pt# ap4088560--- this was done and the clock and all displays work as expected----however the oven does not heat in any(bake, broil, convection, etc.) but the corresponding displays do. I also replaced the heating element.---what next??? thanks
1 Answer Bill, Are you sure you have the J2 Harness seated and locked in place on the new ERC. This is the communication and low voltage link between the relay board on the back of the unit and the control circuits in the ERC. If alls OK, you'll need to slide the range out and check the wiring to the elements and relay board W10757086. The relay board would be the next step. Read More...
Harold August 30, 2012 for Model Number jenn-air #sve47600b I have no response on any button on the pad, clock is lit, can't set time.oven light and cooling fan stays on all time.sure would like some help. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Harold. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WP71002033 is bad and needs to be replaced. Read More...
Harold H August 29, 2012 for Model Number sve47600b no response on control pad.cooling fan and oven light on all time, cannot turn off.i have installed new relay panel. thanks.
1 Answer Harold, We don't understand " new relay panel". Do you mean the relay board on the back of the range W10757086 or the ERC/Clock WP71001799 in the control panel ? The problem could be in the relay board(relays are stuck "closed") but is most likely due to a faulty key pad(s) on the control panel WP71002033. Thanks Read More...
Swashington August 23, 2012 for Model Number SVE47600W For several years now the oven functioned perfectly and all the buttons on the console beep when pressed, but there is no display of time or temperature. About two months ago I replaced the oven control assembly and the display started working just fine (the only glitch was that there is no longer a beep when pressing the Fan button). However, 4 days ago the display went out again. The oven continues to function prior to the oven control assembly replacement -- meaning the buttons beep when pressed (with the exception of the fan button), but there is no display. Before I purchase another oven control assembly (on the assumption that the first one was a lemon), is there something else that might be going wrong here which is causing the clock to fail?
1 Answer SWashington, Yes, there is another check to make before you replace a control board unnecessarily. You'll need a multimeter with a VDC setting. You'll need to access the back of the clock and disconnect the J1 connector from the clock, re apply power and check for 12 VDC across pin 1 and pin 2, and 20 VAC across pin 3 and pin 4 of the wire harness connector, If you have the voltage, then replace the control WP71001799. If the voltage is low, irratic, or not present, you'll need to check the J1 wire harness for loose connections, twists, kinks, etc. then replace the main relay board W10757086 on the back of the range. Bostonjohn May 12, 2012 for Model Number Jenn-Air SCE30600 Thanks for the quick response. A little clarification. How close is about 9v and 6v? Measuring the voltages I find 4.6v and 2.8v. Close enough that it is the clock module? Or do you think it is the power supply?
1 Answer Hello John, These are awfully low readings but may be normal if you checked the dc voltages with the harness connected to the clock. You see, if the clock has a problem, this may be a normal voltage drop with the clock "loading" the power supply. If these readings are the same with the clock unplugged, there could be a power supply issue with the main board. As it stands, I would suspect that the clock assembly is the issue. If a bad clock is left connected to a good power supply, this can damage the power supply circuit on the main board. If the internal resistance of the meter you are using is high, (low quality meter), these readings may be normal. Read More...
