Hello Al, If we had this information available, we would get it right out to you but unfortunately, the manufacturer has never given the schematics for any of their boards out, even to their own technicians. The only way to correct this issue is by replacing the motor control WP22004046.

Maytag Neptune washer with LR error code after wash cycle but without spinning and before rinse cycle. Went through diagnostics and the Spin test shows that the basket will spin at the different levels of test up 99. Quick Cycle test also shows that each stage of the complete wash cycle is working. I can force a spin and a rinse cycle but the basket doesn't spin as fast as it should and clothes are much too wet after. Water is draining, hose was cleaned. Door is locked. Essentially no spin and machine times out with LR code. Also, motor load test does not respond while in service mode. Is this a motor control board issue? Thanks!

Hello Clay. Based on the information you provided, the motor is testing good. It sounds like the control board WP22004046 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

I have a Maytag Neptune and it start making noise when it turns one way or the other. Noise is at lower movements with turning or spinning and clothes still very wet. Took off the belt to the drum and I still hear the noise so it's not the drum bearings. The motor shaft spins freely by hand turning with no noise or friction. The noise is just when it kick on and when it kicks off the shaft still spins for sometime without the noise. Could it be the control motor or is it still the motor. Again the washer drum also spins freely without noise when I have the belt off the back wheel of the drum. Motor P/N 62 702230 Model H55BMBJL-1820.

Rich, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty motor. The squeaking noise could be the bearings going bad on the motor.

Todd for Model Number MAH4000AWW

Neptune washer does not go into high speed spin at spin cycle. Water pumps out fine. Tumbles left and right several times and then ends spin cycle. Door locks. Door wax motor replaced a few years ago, control board has no burnt components (replaced with wax motor). Removing connector JP4 and testing allows drum to spin at 50 rpm. Jumped unbalance switch but it still doesn't spin out. Voltage across tub displacement switches is within what I was told is an acceptable range. Tried running diagnostics included with schematic. Seem to have the newer motor/motor control board. Doesn't have the individual wires to disconnect to test each phase as detailed in diagnostics. Hate to buy motor control board if that's not the problem. Any other checks, or does it look like the motor control board? Thanks

Hello Todd, Check the left rear strut for a micro-switch. This switch was discontinued by Maytag and if it is present on your unit you need to cut the wires to it and splice them together to eliminate the switch from the circuit. Next, make sure the two blue wires are making good connection to the front bottom switch. The next step is to check the electrical connections to the machine control board in the control panel. A lost connection is the most common failure in this model line.

Ron, You will want to check the control board in the console to make sure that the R11 resistor is not burnt. If this is the case then you would need to replace the wax motor WP22002119 and the control board WP22002989.

Joe, You will want to check on the control board with the unit set for cold water fill from connector P1 Pin 4 to P8 pin 2 for 120 vac when filling. If there is not 120 vac then the control board is bad and would need to be replaced. This would be the most likely cause.

Dan, For your description you want to make sure the door is locked. The spin enable switch WP22002162 has a "closed" circuit when the door is locked (the switch farthest to the right on the door lock assembly under the top) Then check the off balance switches and wiring WP22003302 and WP22002044 located on the front of the tub at the 1, 3 and 6 o'clock positions. If any of these switches have an "open" circuit or a loose or broken wire, the washer will not spin. If all's OK, then consider the machine control board WP22004325 located up inside the dryer cabinet.
