Fred F February 08, 2014 for Model Number MHWZ600TW000 I start the washer and it it start the water and then it stops. The first time it happened the washer stopped at 8 mins and just did nothing. The door stayed locked. Unplugged the machine and pulled the manual door lock release. It shows no error codes. What do I need to fix it?
1 Answer Fred, If the unit stops at around 8 minutes then you will want to check the drain pump to ensure that it is not clogged which would cause a time out issue if the pressure switch does not sense the water leaving the unit. Also check the door lock to make sure that it is good. It could be that the door lock is faulty and will not allow the unit to go into the final spin. Read More...
Brian January 06, 2014 for Model Number 11047512600 All the lights flash on the machine and it stops and it flashes F28 and the door won't open either. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Brian, The fault code listed for that model indicates the communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). - Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. - Make sure all grounding switches are engaged. 3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. 8. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. Read More...
Nate October 06, 2013 for Model Number wfw8500sr00 I get an F-20 code on my Duet Sport HT. I've read many forums and blogs and through the service tech guide. The washer enters the drum just fine so no problem with water fill. It usually has a water line about half way up the door glass when the F20 appears. The drain hose and pressure lines have been completely disassembled, cleaned and checked. The pressure switch changes state at the CCU connector PR6. When I check inputs at the CCU PR6 board connector it shows pins 4, 5 and 6 all have continuity to each other. I'm very suspicious the CCU is bad. Another symptom is the washer will get into a rinse cycle and try to fill with water AND intermittently start the drain pump at the same time. I would expect this should be mutually exclusive logic so makes no sense, again pointing to a bad CCU. Once while overriding the pressure switch with an outside pressure while it was filling it threw an F33 code and then shut off. Any further insight would be appreciated as the CCU cost is quite high. Thanks! Nate
1 Answer Nate, Based on the information provided and the information from the tech data sheet, this issue does sound like it is either a wiring problem between the pressure switch and the CCU. Double check to make sure that there is not corrosion on the terminals at the CCU and pressure switch and verify a good connection. If this checks ok then the CCU would be the issue. Read More...
Michelle C August 23, 2013 my HE2t washing machine keeps flashing F01? do I need to replace the control panel?
1 Answer Michelle, The F01 error code is an indication of a EEPROM error which is a communication error between the CCU and EEPROM on the CCU. A power glitch may cause this issue. Unplug the washer for 2 minutes. Plug back in and try to run a cycle and if the same error code comes up then you will need to replace the Control board WPW10163007. Read More...
Luke H November 24, 2012 for Model Number WFW8500SR00 I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport HT washing machine. It does not go into the high spin mode at the end of the wash cycle. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are still soaking wet. It does spin, but quite slow. I've ran through all of the diagnostic tests, and it gives no error codes. The drain pump kicks in, and it is clean/clear. In the diagnostic mode, the high spin/drain works fine, but in a normal wash cycle, it does not work. After some reading from other people who have had the same problem, they have had to replace the MCU (motor control unit). Does that sound right? I'm thinking this is the part: W10163007
1 Answer Hello Luke, Based on the information provided it appears that the MCU WPW10163007will need to be replaced. Read More...
John October 09, 2012 for Model Number WFW9400SW00 I get the F-25 error message after a load has run for about 30 minutes. When I run the diagnostic mode (empty) it runs through all steps no problem. I've already checked all of the connections, replaced the MCU and CCU. The motor reads 6 ohms between 1-2, 2-3 and 1-3 and 185 between 4-5. When the load is in, it runs through the wash, empties, starts slow spin, then fast spin and then gives me the code in the rinse section. Both hot and cold water go into machine fine. Don't know what to try next.
1 Answer Hello John, I'm concerned about the tach circuit, (Terminals 4 and 5). You stated that you got a reading of 185O. This reading should have been 115O. This is close enough to allow the unit to go through most of the cycle before it actually shuts down with the fault code. The tech sheet states: 1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 O. 4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. Let us know if you require further assistance. B July 12, 2012 for Model Number wfw8500sr01 My washer turns on, starts a cycle, after the door locks 2nd time error code f33 comes up. What do I replace?
1 Answer Hello B, This is directly from the service manual: If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. It sounds like you either have debris in the pump, a bad connection between the pump and main control at the top of the unit or a bad pump. Read More...
Dale May 31, 2012 for Model Number 11047512601 Washer does not spin clothes dry, finishes cycle, and they are still very wet.
1 Answer Hello Dale. You will need to check and see if the pump WPW10730972 is clogged and needs the filter cleaned out. If it is clogged, it will cause the issue you are having. Read More...
Aaron January 08, 2012 for Model Number kenmore 11047512600 my test shown f01 error what does means, please give me some idea.. Thank u very much. what's part # for ccu boar? how much gonna be?
1 Answer Aaron, The "F1" error code, indicates an issue with the relays on the CCU WPW10525353 or an issue with the drain pump motor WPW10730972 . If you remove the lower access panel, you should find the tech data sheet attached to the back of the panel or on the left side of the cabinet wall. You'll be able to conduct the diagnostics and operation tests as needed. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Jim December 20, 2011 for Model Number WFW9550WW Original question: Whirlpool Washer will not agitate or spin. Washer has power. Belt is on. Motor does not turn on but moves freely. Front filter has been cleaned. Test shows F25. Any way to see if it is the CCU (Control Board Whirlpool Part W10205841) or MCU (Motor Control Unit Whirlpool Part W10163007) which needs replacing? Response: Hello Jim.According to the tech sheet you will need to replace the Mcu AP4327152 there is a tech sheet in your unit behind the toe panel you can remove the screws across the bottom usually 4 torx head screws or 1/4 inch screws this has a lot of information on this unit also. Thank you and good luck ! New question: I have now replaced both the MCU and the CCU. Still no agitate or spin... Whats next/ Motor?
1 Answer Hello Jim. Check all the wiring connections and see if they are good. If so, then it sounds like the motor WPW10140583 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
