Kd October 19, 2012 for Model Number KUDI01TJWH0 The cancel drain button just keeps blinking and the other buttons aren't working. I ran diagnostics successfully (all lights working) but after starting with settings of Normal / Air Dry it would just cycle for a few minutes, then drain with cancel drain light on, then just stop. After turning off breaker for 20 minutes and cleaning the control board strap with alcohol the cancel drain is just blinking and won't turn off at all.
1 Answer Hello KD, While you may not have hurt the ribbon cable, hard to say for sure, it is not recommended to clean the ribbon cable with any solvent. The recommended method of cleaning it is by rubbing it only in the direction of the traces toward the end of the cable with a regular pencil eraser. This will leave no residue like alcohol will and as long as the eraser rubs the ribbon along with the traces, will not separate the traces from the ribbon. Brian October 16, 2012 for Model Number Kitchenaid KUDSO1DLSSO The dishwasher does not shut off when its done washing dishes and even after opening door,pressing power button till no lights then when door presses shut it starts ot run. Not sure what cycle it is but door cannot be left shut when using. Is this a control panel problem and is this the one I need for this model? Boni October 05, 2012 for Model Number KUDM01TJBT We do not use our kitchenaid a lot. LAst week had a small load and pressed the light wash and start and it worked fine. Last night I had a normal load and pressed normal and start and nothing happened. The only buttons that light up is the cancel/drain where it does go through the process and the lightbbutton which was pressed last week. Is there a reset that could be used? 1 Answer Hello Lotus. If the lights, work, but none of the buttons work, it is not the fuse. If the whole thing is dead, no light nothing, then the fuse 8193762 could be the issue with the unit. Based on your past questions, it sounded like the lights worked, but no buttons worked. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
