Hello Tom, The complaint you describe is most likely going to be a stuck button on the control panel WP8270232. When a button is stuck, the light above the stuck button will flash, as described on the tech sheet.

Hello KD, While you may not have hurt the ribbon cable, hard to say for sure, it is not recommended to clean the ribbon cable with any solvent. The recommended method of cleaning it is by rubbing it only in the direction of the traces toward the end of the cable with a regular pencil eraser. This will leave no residue like alcohol will and as long as the eraser rubs the ribbon along with the traces, will not separate the traces from the ribbon. The complaint you describe is most likely going to be a stuck button on the control panel WP8270224. When a button is stuck, the light above the stuck button will flash, as described on the tech sheet.

Ivy, Don't replace anything, yet. Your dishwasher maybe operating properly. There are sensors in the pump, if the sensors inform the control to heat the water or there is a large amount of soil on the dishes, etc. the control extends the cycle, and the displayed time can increase or decrease. We'll send you some information that will be helpful in explaining the operation and things you can check.

So are you suggesting that I need to replace both Control Panel and Control Board? First I replaced Control Board but it didn't work so you suggested to replace control panel. So returned the control board and I replaced the control panel which worked 2-3 weeks and then stopped working. Your sales rep sent another control panel but that is also not working. Is there anything else that might be wrong ie fuse? ============================== This is regarding latest question in this thread. I actually replaced control panel twice (not control board). I think confusion arose because I posted question in control board page. I reposed question to control panel page. Any suggestions? Asked by Lotus for Model KUDM01TJBT0 Hello Lotus. If the control panel is new, then you will need to replace the control board AP3775506 on the unit if it is not working.

Hello Lotus. If the lights, work, but none of the buttons work, it is not the fuse. If the whole thing is dead, no light nothing, then the fuse 8193762 could be the issue with the unit. Based on your past questions, it sounded like the lights worked, but no buttons worked. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
