Hello Tony, If you look closely at the board, the wire colors are typed on there. GY is grey, W-R is white with a red trace, BU is blue, Y is yellow and so forth. Let us know if we can assist you further.

Hello Harvey. Test the heater and the high limit thermostat. They should read closed for continuity. If they both test good, replace the control board in the unit. To reset the system, you will press Heated dry, Normal, Heated dry, Normal, Heated dry, Normal, when the unit is in stand by mode. It should start and run. Let it complete the cycle. The code should be cleared.

Jim B. for Model Number KUDI01ILBS6

When I select the type wash ( heavy, normal, rinse) the light will come on but when I push the start button nothing happens. I can cancel and the pump will run for a couple of minutes. I have tried entering the codes and all of the lights will come on for a couple of seconds. I can hear clicking a couple of times in the control area, then it will go into the rinse cycle. After the rinse cycle it will stop running and all lights go off. Is this the control module or the selector buttons that have failed? Thanks Jim

Hi Shuja. Terminal P2-1 on the board connects to a Orange w/gry stripe wire. P2-2 terminal connects to a yellow w/ black stripe wire. The P2-3 wire is the brown wire to the fill valve. The P2-4 is the light blue wire to the dispenser. The P2-5 is open. The P2-6 is a blk wire w/wht stripe to the thermal cut out fuse. Then P-1 is either the digital display or the active user interface connection. The P-3 is a gray wire to the drain motor. The P-4 wire is open. The P-5 is blue wire to the motor. The P-6 is a White w/red or the blue w/red stripe going to the hi-limit thermostat. The P-7 is either a white w/violet or a blue w/violet wire going all the white neutral wire feeds. The P-8 is a tan wire to the door switch. The P-9 is a red w/blk to the motor. The P-10 is a blu w/ blk wire to the vent motor. The P-12 are 2 red wire's from the rinse aid dispenser. Thank You.

Stan for Model Number KUDMO1TJBT0 KitchenAid

My KitchenAid dishwasher KUDMO1TJBT0 ran the wash cycle (normal), and went to rinse and heat. The rinse cycle would not stop. It would not go to Dry cycle. Had to open the door to get it to stop rinsing. I installed a new Electronic Control Board 8564543. The original board was 8528172. The new board was supposed to replace the original. Now the Normal light blinks and the Cancel light blinks and the dishwasher will not start. The blinking lights will not stop blinking even by opening the door. Had to turn off the breaker to stop the lights from blinking. What do you think is wrong? I also read other peoples questions and several times it read to turn off the power for a while and then turn the power back on to reset the control board. I tried this also and it did not change anything.

Hello Stan. You will need to check and see if the ribbon cable has any moisture on it. If so, this issue will happen. Also, make sure the ribbon cable is installed properly in the unit. If so, you will need to replace the control panel WP8270226 in the unit.
