Mike April 26, 2020 for Model Number ASD2522WRB04 I removed and replaced water filter and I now have water leaking out of the filter compartment. Looking for some help!
1 Answer Mike, Remove and replace the filter once again to see if the leaking stops. If not try putting the old filter back in and see if it leaks. A seal could be bad internally in the housing and possibly need to be replaced. WPW10121138 Read More...
Earline December 30, 2019 for Model Number msd2572veboo Where the ice comes out to go into the tray on the door, it freezes with this hunk of ice. I do need to change the filter. Could this be the reason for the ice around the bottom where the ice cubes come out to go into the door dispenser.
1 Answer Earline, The reason for ice build up is air leaking into the freezer door. The moisture in the air turns to ice when entering a frozen environment. As long as the tabs for the ice door are not broken off then you can use this kit W10823377. If tabs are broken and the assembly can be moved left to right and not sealing because of this then you will need to order 8201756. There are videos on our web page under both part numbers to help with the repair. Read More...

Janice May 24, 2019 ED5LHAXWB00 The bottom section of the in door ice maker cannot be removed. All the ice is gone and the bottom on the right that says to push up and remove the box can be pushed but the container does not unlock with much pulling. It seems like there is still something keeping it attached near the middle.
1 Answer Janice, Open the ice door on the dispenser and look up in there to see if there is ice caught in the chute. If there is then this is what is causing the ice bin to not come loose easily. Also try taking a hair dryer and blowing under the ice bin, do not leave for too long as this could cause the liner to melt but this may help with removing the bin. Read More...

Liza November 01, 2018 for Model Number ED5LTAXVL00 My landlord just replaced our broken refrigerator with this previously owned 2008 Whirlpool. Id like to change the filter but it appears the filter cap is missing and I can't seem to get the filter to eject. Do I need this cap in order to get the old filter out? Or is it possible that something is broken? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Liza, This WP2260518B is just a decorator piece. The filter can be removed by removing the kickpanel and turning the filter. If you need to you can grasp the old filter with a large pair of pliers to get it to turn. Do not use pliers on the new filter since this could cause a leak. Read More...
