Mitch December 04, 2012 for Model Number WTW5540SQ0 Washer was running fine. Then when I put in the next load, nothing happened. No clicking, no humming, no water intake. I thought the problem was electrical so I replaced the fuses in my fuse box, but nothing happened. Then I plugged the washer into a different outlet and it ran fine for about 10 minutes. Then it stopped, there was a small amount of water on the floor and a bad smell. I unplugged the machine and was told it could be the "belt," but research now shows that this is a beltless model (right?). Could it be the drive pump? I'm taking all suggestions!
1 Answer Mitch, Correct, this is a "direct drive" washer and has no drive belt. The drain pump WP3363394 could be the issue. If the bearings are worn and seizing up or if there is an obstruction in the pump, this would cause the motor to overheat and cause an odor and"open" the motor overload/safety switch, and the motor would have to cool down and the switch reset before the washer could run again. Checking the drain pump would be a good place to start. Read More...
Jimmy S. December 04, 2012 for Model Number WTW5300VW2 My whirlpool washer sometimes spins during the drain cycle. It only does it when the transmission is cold.

Kerry November 28, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool commercial washer Washer shakes and rattles profusely when in operation - even if it has a tiny load of clothes in it. What could be the cause of this?
1 Answer Kerry, You forgot a model number. If this is a W/P top load commercial washer, you want to check and make sure the legs/feet are as low as possible, and locked in place, remove the cabinet, and check to make sure the "skate plate" and the base suspension pads are not worn out, damaged, bent,or out of alignment, and none of the suspension springs are loose, broken or damaged. Then you cn remove the spin basket and check for an out of round tub, or cracked balance ring, and loose, worn drive block and spin tube bearings. Read More...
Mike November 26, 2012 for Model Number LSQ8543JQ0 Unit makes a clicking noise and doesn't spin or drain water.
1 Answer Hello Mike. You need to check the lid switch 3949247V in the unit and make sure it is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Jenny November 16, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore Series 80 washer I ordered a direct drive pump for my washer from you (Part #3363394) and replaced it last night after watching your installation video. It looked fairly straight-forward and I was able to get the old one off, replace the new one and put the washer back together. However, when I started a small load to see if it would leak like the old one did (reason for replacing), once the washer filled with water and started agitating, there was a noise that I have never had before (especially louder when I use the "heavy-duty" agitation instead of "normal"). I don't know what I could've installed improperly as all I touched was the drive pump. Any ideas? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Jenny. Check and make sure the pump is seated properly onto the motor shaft and the flat spots on the pump match the motor shaft. Read More...

Evan November 05, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore Washer 82983120 I just purchased a washer pump WPL 3363394 to replace a leaking one. To remove the old one I did need to pry it off as it was stuck. I cleaned the motor shaft with sandpaper but the new one is not sliding on very easily. I have the flat areas of shaft lined up with flats of the pump but its still not going on. Any other suggestions? Thank you, Evan
1 Answer Hello Evan. If the shaft was rusted bad, you wil need to keep sanding the shaft until the pump slides onto the shaft. It has to be free from rust. Read More...
Cary R November 03, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool LSQ9549LW3 OUr Washing machine sounds like it is about to take off when its in the spin cycle. Makes a loud whirring, that gets louder the longer it spins. It seems to work OK. I'm afraid its turned into rocket ship and is going to take flight at any minute. Is this the correct part? I read that it could be a faulty drain pump bearing? Would this part include this?
1 Answer Hello Cary, The pump WP3363394 would have bearings in them. You may want to pull pump and check to make sure that there is nothing in the pump causing the noise. Read More...
