Measuring approximately 11 inches long and 5 inches wide, this ice maker assembly is made of durable plastic and metal

Symptoms of needing a replacement icemaker include:

Annie April 18, 2011 for Model Number ?

My icemaker is making all the right sounds, but no water is going into it. It sounds like it is filling, but it isn't. Do I need a new valve?

Hello Annie. You will need to check and make sure the fill tube is not frozen up. If it is, you will need to clear it out and replace the water valve. If it is clear, you will need to remove the line from the valve and cycle the icemaker and see if water comes out of the valve. If it does not, then you will need to replace the valve, if there is power going to it. Hope this helps.

We recentley replaced our water filter cartridge. Since then, our ice maker is letting water come through on the front part of the ice maker and freezing solid in the bottom of the ice container. Any suggestions ?

Ice maker stoped making ice. The speed ice display only shows 0F so I replaced the thermostat. The display briefly showed -4F then back to 0. No water is entering the unit and when I manually added water the unit does not eject the ice even though it is frozen.

Hello Ken. It sounds like you may have two problems here. You will need to check and see if the drain is clogged up in the freezer. If so, you will need to thaw it out and clean it out with hot water and a turkey bastor. As for the low ice production, if you have changed the filter and it is good, then you will need to change the water valve W10408179. Hope this helps.

There is no water to the ice maker. The water tap for the door works just fine. I was going to try to remove the ice maker and see if I can find the water entry point to check for a plug or to see if it is frozen. I can not figure out how to remove the ice maker. I removed the 3 screws that hold the auger motor. It also looks like I need to remove the screw that holds the finger that spins the auger. Are there any other screws that hold the ice maker? Where can I find a schematic drawing? I also see a plastic tab on the left side. Do I just "pull hard" to remove? If the inlet is not frozen - what should I try next?

Hello Doug. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope this helps. Removung the icemaker. 1 Remove ice bucket 2 Remove icemaker wire harness by inserting a flat blade screwdriver into the slot on the cover on the left. Push up on screwdriver and pull cover to release. 3 Disconnect icemaker wire harness. 4 Release locking leaver and slide the icemaker assembly out of the box. 5 Remove the screws holding the icemaker to the impinger. 6 Remove the icemaker from the impinger.

My icemaker work but if I shut off the Grommet, fill tube and the bearing get clogged with ice. I close the water hose but still have the same problem. I'm tired taken out the ice maker and taking the ice every time. I didn't see any ice maker filter for this model. I need some advice. Thanks

Thank you for your response. I was hoping to be able to replace just the led on the board instead of buying both boards. If you could give me more info on just the led I would be very grateful. I'm on a retirement income, and the thought of buying a set of boards for $90.+ when all it may need is a $2 led is hard to swallow.

Hello George! Unfortunately, the LED is assembled within the emmiter board. You would have to purchase the kit. Your part number is W11629974. Sorry!
