Cory B. December 03, 2021 for Model Number KUDS02FRSS1 My dishwasher intermittently completes its cycles. Many times, I open the door, and there is water in the bottom of the dishwasher. However, when I press the buttons in the proper sequence to reset the dishwasher, it drains without fail. Based on this video, it is stated that incomplete cycles may be a turbidity sensor issue. What are your thoughts? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Cory, This sounds like a control board WPW10084141 issue since it works when the programmed sequence seems to be where the problem lies. Read More...
Stephen November 22, 2021 for Model Number successatwork@hotmail.com Kitchen Aid KUDe70CVSS2 - Ser FY4501424 - Sprayer arms are not spraying water. The washer fills up and drains, heats etc. No water in sprayer arms to clean the dishes.
1 Answer Stephen, You will want to check to see if the diverter motor is getting power to it. If it is then this will be a faulty diverter motor that would need to be replaced. Read More...
Lou October 15, 2021 for Model Number WDT970SAHZ0 Model: WDT970SAHZ0 Serial#: F74623131 A new circulation pump starts and stops after one second. Water sprays out the checked and cleaned spray arms. No clogs. Bench tested the old circulation pump and it works fine. Jumped the new circulation pump and it runs continuously. Checked all the sprayer plumbing; no clogs. Trying to figure out if there is a sensor that is stopping the pump or if the logic board is bad, before I order a new board.
1 Answer Lou, Thanks for the question!!! It would not be a sensor issue. For a quick start-stop like that, it sounds like the relay on the control has failed. Your model calls for a control board part number of W11305296. Read More...
Brian August 07, 2021 for Model Number wdt780saem1 My dishwasher recently stopped washing. Sometimes I hear it fill with water and other times I don't. The soap falls to the floor and is not dissolved. I have found that if I only use the 1-hour wash that it will wash but it does a poor job. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks
1 Answer Brian, if the inlet valve WPW10327249 does not receive 120VAC from the main control W10854221 for up to 2 minutes, it would be likely that the main control has failed if the float switch is operating properly. Read More...
Jim July 12, 2021 for Model Number Whirlpool Dishwasher WDT710PAYW6 My unit is not draining properly. I have checked all hoses and housings. Have cleaned inside pumps both pressure and draining. Motors are working. When I put it back together, I left the filter screen out (screen is clean) and ran water into the unit. I pushed the drain/cancel button and within 30 seconds the water was drained and unit was empty. I installed the filter and again filled the bottom inside with water and hit the drain/cancel button. The unit wouldn't drain, although you could hear the drain motor doing something. Could this problem be the turbidity sensor? Are there any other sensors inline before this sensor? I have taken the sensor out and used a toothbrush to clean it. No luck. Any suggestions? Thank you, Jimmy
1 Answer Hello Jim, the drain pad forces the control to run a 3 min drain out regardless of anything, the sensor is only used in a wash cycle. Based on your checks suggest you replace the filter W10872845 first. if still occurs replace the drain pump WPW10348269. Read More...
Bill July 08, 2021 for Model Number KDTE104DSS0 Moved into a 6 year old home with a Kitchenaid KDTE104DSS0 dishwasher. The problem is that it doesn't dry the dishes (even using rinse aid), and the detergent pod is often found on the bottom only partially disintegrated (nothing is blocking the detergent door). I tested the turbidity sensor via control board pins between P12-1 and P12-3 to check the resistance and found it was out of range. I've read it should be at 48K to 52K ohms at room temperature, but I measure it at 9K to 11K ohms. So I bought and installed a replacement turbidity sensor WPW10705575. But the resistance is still 9K to 11K ohms... Was the new sensor also defective? Or what am I missing here?
1 Answer Bill, Based on the information provided it sounds like a water issue. Check to make sure you are getting enough water to fill for the cycle (and that it is not draining or syphoning out). Also, make sure that the water is hot enough (must be a min. of 120°F in the tub of the machine for the soap to activate and dissolve). Read More...
Mark April 28, 2021 for Model Number KDTE104ESS0 purchased and replaced the computer which helped, however, I'm still having a problem with the dishwasher continuing through the cycle. It starts fine then it stops and I have to open the door and hit the start/add dish button then it will start to work again. I do this 3-4 times then it will start and finish the cycle as it should, Any help would be appreciated.
1 Answer Mark, Check the door latch and switches to make sure the door switches are not the issue. If the door switch open then the board thinks the door has been open and you will have to restart the machine. Read More...
Kris April 21, 2021 for Model Number WDT790SAYM3 I have strange issue with my whirlpool gold series dishwasher. When I run my dishwasher, I see its filling the water properly, and heating it up, opens the soap lid and it stops there. It doesn't initiate clean cycle. But after some time, it drains the water and fills new water and heats it up, without washing. This happens couple of time and finally it stops without cleaning. The strange part is, once I do system reset by pressing 123123123 process, then the first iteration, my dishwasher works perfectly. It cleans and drains. On the next day, again it shows the problem of stopping after filling water. I suspected the problem could be computer, turbudity sensor, so replaced them. Still issue is same. First iteration goes clean, second iteration it gets stuck. Checked door latch, motors individually, they are working fine. Presently my work around is, every day reset the system (123123123 steps), before initiating wash cycle. This way, I am getting my dishwasher work. Not sure, what is happening here. Please help.
1 Answer Kris, Based on this issue, check to make sure that the float switch is not sticking and if it is not then this would most likely be a faulty main control board or a wiring issue. Read More...
Mike February 11, 2021 for Model Number WDF540PADW2 Hi, My Whirlpool dishwasher runs and washes fine but at the end when completely done washing it will not drain sometimes. When I push the drain button it drains and sometimes it doesn’t and I have to wait and keep trying it. When I push the drain button you can hear the pump motor running but not pumping,Then sometimes it will kick in and work. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks
1 Answer Mike, if the drain pump receives 120VAC every time the drain is activated and it intermittently drains, it would be recommended that the drain hose and drain pump section are inspected for any partial clogs. If there are no partial clogs then the drain pump W10876537 would need to be replaced. Read More...
Greg January 15, 2021 for Model Number WDF530PAYW6 Ok, replaced the circulation pump and motor. Plugged power back to motor, replaced unit and reattached power and ground wire. Flipped breaker and won’t run, no lights at all. Opened door and closed it, then the drain pump engaged and made sure unit was emptied. Now nothing again. Any guidance before I remove unit from cabinet again? Thank you so much for your help.
1 Answer Greg, If there is no power at the touchpad, check to make sure that there is 12 vdc getting to the touchpad. If there is then the touchpad would be faulty. If there is no power then the issue will be a faulty control board. Read More...
