Hello David, It is not hard to replace the timer at all. Unplug the washer and take the screws out from across the top of the control panel. Remove the knob by popping the center out and remove the little "c" clip. Be careful not to lose it! Pull the outer part of the knob off and remove the two screws securing it to the panel. With the timer loose, you can depress the retaining clips on either side of the harness connector. Once you have removed both of the connectors, reverse the procedure to install the new timer. Reestablish the electrical connection, (plug it back in), and try the unit to insure the connections made and your done.

Hello Richard. No, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the pressure switch WP208202 or the pressure switch hose is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and see if the hose is torn or has a hole in it. If so, replace the hose. If not, it may just be the pressure switch. Hope this helps.

The knob skirt is spring loaded so be careful not to loose the spring. then you can access the front screws that mount the timer. Remove the back and replace the timer. Re mount the new one and reassemble the unit. Thank You.
