Hello Rbhocking. Take a flat blade and unsnap the center out of the timer knob. Once you remove the center, you can pull the knob off the shaft of the unit.

John, Before you replace the timer, try this : Put the timer dial in the timed dry setting on the control panel, and start the dryer, let it run 10 to 15 minutes, if the timer dial / skirt advances or moves, then you can be 99% sure the issue is not the timer, and based on your post information, then you'll need to check the gas valve coils resistance and operation. If the dryer does not heat properly in a "auto dry" setting, the timer will not advance. Thanks and Good Luck

Hello Erin. We will need your serial number to determine which timer you will need. You will need to remove the center of the timer knob to remove the knob and skirt from the unit. Then you will access the back of the control panel and remove to access the timer. Once removed, you will unplug the wires and remove the old timer. Install new timer in reverse order. Hope this helps.
