This microwave high-voltage capacitor stores and releases energy in the high-voltage circuit to power the magnetron. Replacing a failed capacitor helps restore proper heating and protects other components in the high-voltage system.
- Works with the transformer and high-voltage diode to supply the magnetron with the required voltage
- Failure may result in the unit running but not heating
- Shorted capacitors can blow the internal fuse or trip a breaker; opens may cause loud humming or buzzing
- Visible swelling or leakage on the capacitor body are common failure signs
What's included: One high-voltage capacitor Install notes:
- Unplug the microwave; capacitors can retain a dangerous charge even when unplugged—discharge using an appropriate, insulated method before servicing
- Note wire positions and terminal orientation; transfer any mounting hardware from the original part
- Mount securely and route wires to avoid pinching

Microwave oven was not heating Scott S. • Charlotte , NC • June 20, 2017
I ordered the capacitor, diode, and magnetron in hopes that I would be able to complete the repair using the less expensive parts. I first removed the oven from the wall and then I removed the metal housing to access the internal parts. I discharged the capacitor using a pair of insulated needle nose pliers. Then I changed out the diode and the capacitor and reassembled the unit and tested it. It still did not heat so I disassembled the unit again and replaced the magnetron this time....

The Wall Oven Capacitor Motor is an OEM part for GE wall ovens. Located inside the oven cavity, this motor is responsible for turning the convection fan which circulates hot air for even baking and roasting.
Symptoms of a bad capacitor motor include:
- Inability to select convection bake or roast features
- Uneven cooking results
- Lack of air circulation inside the oven
- Strange noises coming from the fan/motor area
- The convection fan not turning on
Causes of failure can be wear over time, damage from debris inside the oven, or occasional voltage fluctuations which can degrade motor components.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

7 year old GE profile electric range all oven features stopped working John C. • Yorktown Heights , NY • October 12, 2018
With the support of Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered 3 parts (plus glass stove top cleaner) that were suspected to be the cause of the problem for a total of $49.59. Easily replaced the Range Oven Sensor, $15.91, at the back of the interior oven & that was it! All oven features work fine & my wife set the oven for the clean cycle earlier today. So far, so good! Thanks for your help! Would recommend Appliance Parts Pros to anyone.

This motor start/run capacitor helps the compressor and fan motors start and run reliably, restoring normal cooling performance when a failing capacitor causes hard starts or intermittent motor operation. A direct-replacement component for affected units. What it does:
- Provides the electrical phase shift and stored energy needed for compressor and fan motor startup.
- Helps prevent slow starts, humming, or motors that won't start reliably.
- Restores stable motor operation and can reduce overheating or tripping caused by a weak capacitor.
- Works as a replacement for the same OEM-design capacitor in compatible refrigerators and freezers.
What's included:
- One replacement capacitor (single unit)
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before inspecting or replacing the capacitor to avoid shock.
- Verify capacitor is fully discharged before handling; use insulated tools and follow safety procedures.
- Match the capacitor's mounting and terminal type to the existing part for correct fit and connection.

This magnetron generates microwave energy to heat food in compatible countertop and over-the-range microwaves. Replacing a worn magnetron restores cooking power and helps eliminate uneven heating or failure to heat. What it does:
- Converts high-voltage electrical power into microwave radiation used to cook and reheat food
- Common symptom: oven runs but food doesn't heat or heats very slowly
- May also be needed if you notice loud buzzing, arcing, or burning odors during operation
- Works with the microwave's high-voltage system; other components may also need inspection
What's included:
- One magnetron (single unit as shown)
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and discharge the microwave's high-voltage capacitor before servicing
- Inspect surrounding parts (waveguide, diode, capacitor, and cooling fan) for damage during replacement
- Use only the correct replacement part number to ensure proper fit and safe operation
