Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316054202
This oven back insulation panel fits behind the oven cavity to help contain heat and protect rear components. It replaces missing or damaged insulation to help restore normal oven heating behavior and reduce heat transfer to surrounding areas. What it does:
- Limits heat loss from the rear of the oven cavity to help maintain cooking temperature
- Helps reduce excessive heat transfer to rear components and cabinetry
- Use when insulation is torn, compressed, burned, or when the oven takes noticeably longer to preheat
- Helps prevent heat-related damage to wiring, electronics, and nearby parts
What's included: One oven back insulation panel Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair
- Access may require pulling the range/oven away from the wall and removing a rear access panel
- Wear gloves and a dust mask when handling old insulation; avoid compressing or tearing the replacement
- Follow OEM instructions for securing insulation with the original clips/adhesive or fasteners

This oven insulation wrap surrounds the oven cavity to help retain heat and protect nearby components. Replacing damaged or missing insulation helps maintain even cooking temperatures and prevents excess heat from reaching exterior surfaces. What it does:
- Wraps around the oven cavity to reduce heat loss and improve temperature stability.
- Protects wiring, control components and cabinet panels from excessive heat exposure.
- Helps reduce exterior surface temperature and prevents heat-related damage or discoloration.
- Improves cooking performance if old or deteriorated insulation is allowing heat to escape.
What's included: One oven insulation wrap (1 piece). Install notes:
- Turn power to the appliance off at the breaker before starting any work.
- Allow the oven to cool completely and follow OEM service instructions for accessing the cavity.
- Handle insulation carefully to avoid tearing; avoid contact with heating elements and sharp edges.

Mice! Merle S. • Mirror Lake , NH • July 29, 2018
We ordered an insulation oven wrapper when we discovered mice had gotten into (and had a grand party in) our oven over the winter in our lake cottage. Unfortunately we only discovered it after turning on the broiler (ick). Anyway a couple of YouTube videos later we were convinced if we could find the insulation, with a good cleaning we could repair and not replace the oven.
The part arrived quickly and the installation was successful thanks to easy ordering and delivery. Thanks!

A replacement control insulation piece that helps protect the appliance control assembly from heat and abrasion. Restores the thermal barrier behind the control panel to help prevent heat-related control damage. What it does:
- Shields the control board and wiring from oven/burner heat and radiant heat buildup.
- Helps prevent heat-related failures, melting, or damage to the control assembly.
- Reduces risk of shorting or chafing where wiring passes near the control area.
- Can reduce intermittent control issues that occur when components overheat.
What's included:
- One control insulation piece
Install notes:
- Always disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or injury.
- Remove the console/control panel to access and replace the insulation.
- Align the insulation carefully; secure any clips or adhesive exactly as OEM design specifies.
- If insulation is brittle, torn, or shows heat damage elsewhere, inspect adjacent components and wiring for damage.

Main control panel stopped working Randy B. • La Grange , TX • January 27, 2019
The main control panel finally went out on our stove making it useless. With the diagrams on the web site I was able to find the exact replacement parts I needed. Ordering the parts was fast and easy. Within a few days the parts were delivered and within 10 minutes my stove was working like new. The parts were a fraction of what a new stove would have cost me.

Part Number: WB2X8121
This oven insulation replaces the thermal lining inside the oven cavity to help maintain proper cooking temperatures and reduce heat transfer to surrounding cabinetry. It restores the oven's thermal barrier for safer, more consistent baking and roasting. What it does:
- Provides thermal insulation between the oven cavity and outer cabinet to help retain heat during use
- Helps reduce heat loss that can cause longer cook times or uneven baking
- Dampens rattling or vibration from loose or damaged oven lining
- Supports proper oven temperature stability when installed correctly
What's included:
- One oven insulation panel as shown
Install notes:
- Installation typically requires removing the oven door and accessing the cavity; follow OEM instructions
- Use gloves and eye protection; insulation fibers can irritate skin and lungs
- Ensure the oven is fully disconnected from power and cool before starting work
- Verify correct placement and secure mounting to prevent contact with heating elements
