Bought one off eBay because it was half the price,got it and it leaked and stoped up the inlet tube. Didn't notice the return policy was after you install it you can't return it. So I bought one from APP, had it installed in 20 min and problem solved. This whole process took up 2 of my Saturdays trying to make the other one work and 20 extra dollars. I purchased a can of black appliance spray paint, removed the panels on the dishwasher, sprayed them, and a few hours later put them back. Purchased water inlet valve and new hot and cold water hoses. Unscrewed about 5 screws that were holding the top of the washer in place then slide the top forward and up. Released the control top it popped off no screws. Disconnected the wires attached and unscrewed 2 screws holding the valve in place the popped that off. Popped in a new valve and repeated the process in reverse. Boom done! Very simple works like new! Read more

I replaced the controller. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get to it. The video on the website showed access to the control via the rear panel. On the Kitchen Aid we have, the back panel is part of the range's main frame and does not come off. Turns out, 2 screws behind the fluorescent lamp had to be removed and the entire control panel housing lifts up and can be tilted forward.
