This siphon break kit prevents water from siphoning back out of the washing machine tub through the drain hose during the fill cycle. It acts as an air gap device installed on the drain line to ensure proper water levels are maintained. The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion.
