Unplugged the dryer. Disconnected the exhaust hose w/ 5/16" nut driver. Removed all knobs. Removed 3 Phillips head screws behind the console. With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. If the dryer is no longer responding when buttons are being pressed then it might be time to replace the user interface board. Luckily this is a relatively easy repair.To replace the interface board begin by turning off the power to the dryer. Once the power has been shut off move the dryer away from the wall to gain access to the upper back panel. Remove the panel and locate the interface board. Snap it out of its brackets and remove the wire harness attached to the board.
