Everything was dead no power nothing worked there was power at the plug Duane M. • Batesville , AR • August 08, 2026
Popped the back control panel and checked where the power comes in. Had power. On the other side of that component there was no power. Found the problem. The hardest part was finding where they hid the model number. Up and under the back of the lid. Nice hiding place.

E43 error code washer was shutting off before spin cycle Christopher H. • Richmoind , ME • April 22, 2017
About a year ago, the washer was doing a similar thing, where it would shut off before the spin cycle started. The coin trap was completely clogged then, so I checked it first this time. It was clear, so I took the drain pump out and checked that as well. Nothing seemed to be physically wrong with the machine, so I put it in diagnostic mode, which gave me error code 43 when I tried the spin cycle. This one of the codes for a bad control board.
Replacing the board only took about 15 minutes....

Kenmore elite dryer routinely stopped after a few minutes when set on the moisture cycle but finished completely when set on timed cycle James L. • Brandywine , MD • December 06, 2014
Did some research via the internet and figured the problem was likely the moisture control board. Watched a video of the repair of a similar unit in order to locate the moisture control board. Used the chat feature with one of the Appliance Parts Pros to get a schematic of the dryer and advice about where to use the putty knife to release the springs for access to the board. Thanks to the lady I chatted with for expert advice. Once the actual task was started, the repair took 15 or 20...

Error code e90 Thomas M. • Janesville , WI • October 07, 2016
I ordered the control board because the old one had many (about 30) opens on the back of the control board and the plastic cover for it was warped. Helpful notes; put front cover on before you connect the wiring. This will save you hours of being mad! All the plugins have different ends, you can't screw it up! Third note, those little plastic light transmitters can be put in wrong and it will not go together. Tabs go in! The one set by the start button can be put in backwards and looks correct....

E53 error code Susan R. • Beverly Hills , FL • March 03, 2017
After taking the top off the washer I found the Tech Data Sheet ( for repair person ) The E53 code was listed as Low Voltage to the motor board and referred me to test #15. Which stated to check the "drum water NTC" ( Negative Temperature Coefficient or Thermistor). What was misleading was that there are 2 NTC's. If your washer has a "Sanitize" feature , then there is a drum water NTC as well as one on the fill valve body. IF you have the sanitize feature then you need to replace the drum water...

Timer motor going out on my old amana washer Michael R. • Watsonville , CA • July 26, 2015
My mom loves her old Amana washer and AppliancePartsPros.com was the only place that had the part. Replacing the timer is an easy task but I had my repair guy put it in anyway. Some of the screws on the outside cover were so old we cut or used pliers to get them out. Washer is working great. Also ordered my part and got it the next day.

Genuine Whirlpool part

Part Number: WPW10175553
This mechanical cycle timer controls the sequence and duration of washer operations. Replacing a failing timer restores proper advancement through fill, agitate, drain, and spin so cycles complete reliably with accurate timing. What it does:
- Advances the washer through each step by routing power to the water valves, motor, and drain pump at the correct times
- Sets the length of each stage for consistent operation
- Common failure signs: cycle won't advance or stops mid-cycle
- Timer knob doesn't move or must be jiggled to run
- Skips functions (no agitate, drain, or spin) while others still work
What's included:
- 1 mechanical timer assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; access the timer from the control console
- Take photos or label wires; transfer them to the new timer one at a time to maintain correct positions
- Reuse the existing knob and dial; align the timer shaft properly and secure the mounting screws
- After reassembly, run a short test cycle to ensure proper advancement
