On-line chat with AppliancePartsPros told me the error code was was for motor speed and they sent me a .pdf file on what to do to T/S it. Upon receiving the new part I installed it (15 min), tested the washer (it worked), then put all the panels back on, pushed the washer...

Frigidaire gltf2940fs2 front load washer e90 error code Wayne A. • Tewksbury , MA • August 01, 2016
After first doing a Google/YouTube search, There was only one "hit" on my search results. Next I went to an appliance message board forum but after almost a week and more than a dozen views, no response was received. This is unusual. I've been on this board before with positive results. They also changed the "rules" for DIYers which could explain why I didn't have a lot of response from the experts.
I attempted to get the unit into diagnostics mode. I was unable to clear the E90 "general...

Machine would only wash in every wash position on the dial but it would not drain or spin Delbert R. • Detroit , MI • September 02, 2014
Normally I would do a better job of investigating my problem with what others have experienced and then proceed with the cheapest fix first. This time though I just knew it was the timer. I ordered the correct part, installed it, plugged in the cord, turned on the washer and still no drain and no spin. What a defeated feeling. So I went back to the web site. Sure enough there was a simple fix to the problem. The washer door switch. But now, what do I do with this new timer? Back to the...

Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP3957841
The Washer Timer Dial is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washers. Positioned just behind the washer timer knob, the timer dial has a gray indicator that helps the user select the appropriate cycle. It interacts with the timer to ensure the washer operates in the correct mode and duration according to the chosen cycle.
Over time, the timer dial may degrade due to regular use, excessive force during cycle selection, or accidental impact. This can lead to inaccurate cycle selection, making it hard to use the washer efficiently.
Color: White
Symptoms of a faulty Washer Timer Dial include:
- Misalignment or sticking when choosing cycles
- Difficulty accurately selecting the desired cycle
- Cracked or broken indicator
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
