Color change went from black to stainless steel Wayne J. • Harleysville , PA • January 12, 2019
Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. You’ll need to disconnect the wires. The panel has two parts that need to be transferred. 1. The electronic panel. It’s white and has a row of...

Dishwasher needed a new bottom door seal Daniel F. • Englewood , FL • April 03, 2016
Thanks to Jason and his tech people at Appliance Parts Pro, I was able to remove and replace the seal and eliminate all leaks at the bottom of the door. I have a Kitchenaide (Whirlpool) dishwasher model KUDC10IXBL1. Here is how to replace the bottom door seal.
1) Shut off breaker to dishwasher on the electrical panel.
2) Open the dishwasher door completely, and while supporting the door, remove the hex head screws that hold the outside cover.
2) Close the door carefully and slip the outside...

Dishwasher stopped draining water the pump was running (i could hear the noise) but water would not go away Evgueni P. • San Mateo , CA • February 08, 2015
I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. Upon disconnecting the drain and checking its connector I indeed found the round piece totally blocking the hose and acting as a seal. I removed the piece...

The door would free fall to the floor left door balance broken Daniel M. • San Diego , CA • December 23, 2016
I finally decided to repair my dishwasher because the door would free fall to the floor possibly breaking the hinges. Also the top shelf was rolling out on its own every time the door was opened. I first pulled the dishwasher out of the enclosure and found that the drain hose was directly under the pump area throwing the unit completely out of level. Also the inadequate plastic and rope counterbalance on the left side was completely broken where the rope was attached to the plastic piece to the...

Remove upper and lower baskets for access. Remove 4 Torx screws holding drain/filter assembly, accessing last screw by rotating the water duct clockwise. Be sure to first un-clip the water duct at top and rear of dishwasher so that it can be moved. (Take the opportunity to remove accumulated deposits behind the water duct). No water in the dishwasher. Rohan P. • Troy , OH • January 30, 2022
As mentioned, our Whirlpool Dishwasher would complete the cycle but Tablet pretty much sat in the Soap Dispenser Box nor there was any sign of water inside the Dishwasher. This happened 2 - 3 times. Hence decided to dive into what the fix was.
After reviewing a bunch of Youtube Videos, understood first how a typical Dishwasher operates and what are the basic checks it does before water is let inside. So it typically first checks whether Door S/w got activated, followed by Float Switch...

Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to...

The Rubber Washer is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This washer plays a role in ensuring a leak-proof seal at various connection points within the dishwasher, such as at the water inlet valve or hose connections. Its primary function is to prevent water from leaking out of the dishwasher during operation, thereby ensuring efficient and safe use of the appliance.
Over time, rubber washers can deteriorate due to the constant exposure to water and chemicals found in dishwasher detergents.
Symptoms of a bad Rubber Washer in a dishwasher include:
- Visible signs of wear or damage to the washer, such as cracks, brittleness, or deformation.
- Water leaking from the dishwasher, particularly around areas where hoses and valves connect.
- A decrease in dishwasher performance due to water not being contained properly during cycles.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Dishwasher not heating. Ben M. • Sacramento , CA • February 18, 2020
Replaced heater element: Once I had the dishwasher out of the cabinet with supply hose, drain hose and electric disconnected, removing the heater element was fast and easy. However, it was confusing that the new heater element had rubber washers on it already, something not mentioned in the product listing, although kinda visible in the photo. Dishwasher would not run William H. • Morehead City , NC • February 14, 2015
I found the door switch was not making contact when the door closed. I adjusted it, but then it would not open so the dishwasher would run when the door wasn't closed.
The contacts were too long in the switch so they would bend and stay together when the door opened. The original switch was very poorly made for a very expensive Maytag dishwasher.
The new switch you supplied was much better quality and easily replaced the one that was installed at the factory.
I was a little baffled at the...
