Ice not dispensing or only partially crushing? The ice dispenser auger moves ice from bin to chute. DIY-friendly repair, typically 30 minutes.
Had to replace the auger. The auger on my ice maker was made of plastic and had broken pieces off it. The new one is made of metal and seems to work much better. Was a fairly simple repair. However pay close attention when disassembling, I recommend using your cell phone and snap a pic of the different stages as I became a little confused when putting it back together. Ordered the part and it was here the next day. I'm very happy to have my ice coming down the chute again. By the way, I'm a 70... Read more
Ice dispenser won't close or dispenses continuously? This dispenser door pin kit restores proper flapper operation. Easy DIY repair with video guide.
It was not looking good. I could not order the part I needed as it was part of the door - eve though it had screws att Hong it to the freezer door. At one web site it was a replacement of the whole freezer door!/? Luckily I ventured further and found this repair kit and video instructions. My order arrived in 3 days, and the install (thanks to the video) was easy. A whole lot better than buying a new freezer door - not! BTW - Whitlpool should not have made the tabs out of plastic, the metal... Read more

Directs defrost water to the drain line in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, broken, or leaking to prevent water buildup inside the unit.
This electrical kit includes the relay and overload protector that help start your refrigerator compressor safely. The relay provides the initial electrical boost while the overload protector prevents damage from electrical surges. Replace this kit if your refrigerator won't cool, compressor won't start, makes clicking sounds but doesn't run, or trips electrical breakers.
Took the screws off the back plate at the bottom and watched the YouTube video on how to remove the cover plate for the starter and overload on the back of the compressor. Ended up snapping the old cover plate (brittle plastic) so I was glad the "kit" came with a new one. I used a small flat-head screwdriver and carefully pried off the starter and overload, then, with the new ones in hand, took the wires off the old ones and immediately put them on the new ones so I didn't lose track (there is... Black plastic lever for refrigerator ice dispensers. Replaces cracked, stained, or calcium-damaged levers. Snaps into dispenser assembly housing.
Even though the refrigerator is 13 years old, I was able to find replacement parts on your site. The DIY video provided on-line for each of the four parts ordered was very helpful ; even though my refrigerator wasn't exactly like the one in the video, it was still helpful. I'm not usually the DIY type- but with your help the repair was very successful! Thank you ! Read more
Replacement fastener screw for appliances. Secures panels, trim, clips, and components. Needed when original screws are stripped, missing, or damaged.
Removed the handle with two screws on the inside front and pulled out the custom wood panel. Pulled the compactor out from under cabinet. Unscrewed two lower screws at bottom of unit holding black trim panel (that held wood panel in place) and lower black rubber flap. Removed two screws on lower outside side of unit that held the foot pedal. Slid off black U shaped metal frame from top of compactor towards bottom. Slid on... Read more
Replaces cracked, broken, or discolored water dispenser lever on side-by-side refrigerators. Installs behind dispenser faceplate. White finish.
I replaced the Ice Dispenser Lever. Since the replacement part is only available in white and my fridge is bone, I replaced also the Water Dispenser Lever, so it looks much better. I followed the instructions in the video, which were very useful and very well done. My problem was that the refrigerator is a KitchenAid built-in, while the instructions were for a Whirlpool, so the removal of the faceplate was quite different from what was shown in the video and more difficult. Also there were some... Read more

This is a small coupling washer that connects the ice crusher drive mechanism in the refrigerator's freezer compartment. It transfers rotational force from the motor to the ice crushing blades, allowing the dispenser to crush ice properly. Replace this part if the ice dispenser runs but does not crush ice, makes grinding noises, or if the coupler appears worn, cracked, or stripped.
My LG electric dryer stopped drying the other day and I searched on line for suggestions on what may have caused it to stop working. I came across AppliancePartsPros.com and quickly found some of the most common issues with my LG dryer. The problems were listed in the order of most common occurrence, and had extremely helpful and detailed instructions on how to not only diagnose the problem, they also showed exactly how to access and repair the issue. Unfortunately, it was late on a Thursday... Read more

The refrigerator water dispenser lever arm activates water flow when pressed and returns to position when released. Replace when the lever becomes stuck, breaks off, or fails to properly activate the water dispensing mechanism.
The water dispenser stopped working on my Sears Kenmore (Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator and after much research on the web I purchased the parts that commonly failed for this condition. I should have first taken the dispenser assembly apart but I didn't--it looked a little too intimidating to do twice. As it turns out, what actually broke was the plastic assembly that holds the water actuator switch in place so the dispenser lever could not strike it. I was able to secure it in place... Read more
Mounting bracket that secures the ice maker assembly to the refrigerator wall. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore proper ice maker support.
Replaced the ice maker. The kit came with everything I needed to replace the ice maker. Parts that did not come with the kit were re-used from the old one. My Whirlpool refrig/freezer is an older model so the wiring harness that came with the kit was different from my existing. So instead of disconnecting the ice maker wiring harness from the freezer, I had to disconnect the harness at the ice maker. That was a b..... Anyway after about 20 minutes, finally unhooked the connector. I had... Read more
