The Fill Cap Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. This assembly includes the cap that covers the opening where rinse aid or other additives are poured into the dishwasher. It ensures that the additives are securely contained and properly dispensed during the wash cycles, contributing to effective cleaning and drying.
Over time, the fill cap assembly can become damaged due to regular use, exposure to cleaning agents, or accidental mishandling. A compromised fill cap can lead to leaks or improper dispensing of rinse aid, affecting the dishwasher's performance.
Symptoms of a bad fill cap assembly include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Using your program, I loaded the info re my trusty old dishwasher (not ready to abandon over a cap) and you located the proper cap to replace my old one that has been lost for years. [don't ask how that happened in the first place!] I really didn't think you would have a part for an 18-20 year old dishwasher. After ordering the replacement cap, it arrived within a few days. I was so excited that I could fix this problem myself without calling an expensive repairman! I simply removed the part... Read more
Replaces a cracked, broken, or clogged lower spray arm in your dishwasher. Installs at the bottom of the tub. Needed when spray holes are blocked or damaged.
Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". This water collection chamber sits at the bottom of the dishwasher tub and houses the wash pump and drain components. It collects wash water and directs it through the cleaning system during cycles. Replace this sump if you notice water leaking from the dishwasher bottom or poor wash performance due to water circulation problems.
The main conduit was broken and the pump connector had a hole in it. The pump also was showing signs of leaking. I completely disassembled the dishwasher cleaned everything and reassembled. The repair videos are a big help. Thank you. Read more
Dispenser won't close or stay shut? This dishwasher detergent cup cover securely latches to prevent mid-cycle opening. Moderate DIY repair, 1 hour.
Although I ordered the latch, lever and a new cup and replace the original pieces the dispenser still did not close. On further inspection it turned out to be a small spring that had fallen out of place. Once the spring was reconnected the dispensing cover worked fine. I'm still happy that I replaced the entire assembly with new parts regardless. Discovering the loose spring took the most time. Read more
Replace broken or missing lower dishrack rollers and axles. Attaches to the bottom rack for smooth gliding when loading dishes. Sold as one roller kit.
I found my parts and ordered the six I needed, however I did not pick up on the difference from the front wheels to the rear wheels in the the descriptions. The rear wheels are narrower and I ordered all front wheels, six fronts instead of four front and two rear. I made it work by using the axle from the new wheel with two old narrow wheels. Read more
Insulation blanket that wraps around the dishwasher tub to reduce noise and maintain temperature. Replace if damaged, torn, missing, or contaminated.
I pulled the DW out, pulled off the old blanket pieces, vacuumed up the millions of small parts, then put the new blanket on, I did use some packing tape to hold it in place. Easy! The challenge was moving the unit out, then back in, but that was simply time and a little effort. Read more
Note: This is the complete solenoid assembly kit. For armature & linkage assembly only, use WD1X1316.
The Solenoid Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in controlling the flow of water into the dishwasher by activating or deactivating the drain valve. This assembly is essential for ensuring that the dishwasher fills and drains at the correct times during the wash cycle, which is pivotal for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the appliance.
Common causes for a Solenoid Assembly to fail include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup from hard water, or electrical failures that prevent the solenoid from operating as intended.
Symptoms of a bad Solenoid Assembly include:
This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
Put in the new parts and now it does not leak anymore. Very simple Read more
Dishwasher leaking from the bottom? A cracked or worn inlet sump causes water leaks during wash cycles. Moderately difficult repair with video guidance.
Replaced with a new Inlet Sump [WD18X213]. It was a little tedious, attaching the Inlet Sump, back to the pump, because I did the job with the dishwasher in place (not pulled out). My dishwasher was plumbed with copper pipe, so I really didn't want to upset that. Also, I had previously replaced the motor and the pump in this dishwasher, so I was familiar with how the Inlet Sump attached to the pump. Again, it's very tight working under the unit while it is still in place, and I wouldn't... Read more
Dishwasher won't drain or makes loud humming noise? This drain pump removes water from the wash cycle. Moderate DIY repair with unit removal required.
I stood by the dishwasher as it went through the cycles and noted the noise only happened during the drain processes. To make this repair you have to take the dishwasher completely out from under the counter. (NOTE: print the schematic to help guide you to the location of the part and connections.) The pump is not accessible from underneath. I laid the dishwasher on its side. I recommend disconnecting the copper fill tubing before laying the machine over (I did not and crimped it). The... Fix low spray pressure, growling noises, or leaks from the pump housing. This circulation pump assembly requires basic tools. Takes 1-2 hours to install.
I ordered a new motor through ApplianceParts Pros.com and had the new part within 5 days. The entire replacement took approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours. The repair was relatively simple and straight forward. By doing the work myself I saved over $250. Originally a GE technician quoted a price of $489 to replace the motor to repair the dishwasher. For that price I could have bought a new dishwasher (Electronix Express $491) but not with all the features of my current appliance. By doing the... Read more
Replacement spring for dishwasher detergent cup door assembly. Provides tension to keep cup door latched closed. Replace if broken, stretched, or lost.
First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. After turning off the power to the dishwasher, I removed the switch cover (not obvious how -- a video would help: on the left, I slid the narrow rectangular plastic wire cover a little to one side and gently opened it on its little hinge, which is near the left side of the door, and then... Replacement drain hose kit for dishwashers. Flexible tubing routes wastewater from the wash chamber to the pump outlet. Replace if cracked or leaking.
The screw is an OEM replacement component for GE dishwashers. It is used to securely fasten parts inside the dishwasher tub assembly.
Causes of a damaged or defective screw usually involve wear from continuous mechanical stresses and vibration during dishwasher usage. Loose parts affect machine balance and performance.
Symptoms of a compromised screw placement include:
This GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
The replacement of the arm took a total of 3 minutes, all I needed was a nut driver for the easy job, taking the old arm out and putting the new one in, exact replacement , I appreciate you getting the part out as fast as you did. It took an extra day because of the ice storm we had . That was ok. Thanks you . Read more

Replace your dishwasher's middle spray arm kit if the center arm is cracked, broken, or missing. Includes rotating arm, hub, nut, and washer for middle rack.
I ordered a new arm kit from AP Pro. I watched the video..easy repair. The arm spin jets were plugged just like the video said. The old washer was also worn. The new arm (genuine GE) had redesigned spin jets, they added two more. I ordered on a weekend, the order was filled on Monday and it was at my door at noon on Tuesday! I didn't do any special shipping. Excellent video, shockingly fast delivery. Amazon Prime (I am a member) would be jealous, and AP Pro has excellent videos. Read more
