My washer would not complete the spin cycle and wring the water out of the clothes Lisa C. • Spring Lake , NC • March 12, 2014
I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. The washer thought the door was open and would not finish the spin. I was left with a washer full of very wet clothes. This repair was SO extremely easy. I only needed to uses a pair of needle nose pliers and a screw driver. It took less than 10 minutes, start to finish. Now the new door lock assembly registers correctly and my clothes are completely...

Old smelly washer bellow. Gary M. • Hood River , OR • October 19, 2023
Removed old bellow following procedures found on relevant Youtube videos. Reinstalling however was more of a challenge. Getting the rear seal of the new bellow on the washer housing was not as easy as the videos indicated. The key to that process is being sure the seal is well lubricated which is not quite apparent from the videos but is essential success. Once the rear seal is installed, reapplying the rear spring was accomplished with the spring clamps as per the videos. Be sure to...

Severe banging during spin cycle Vince V. • Benson , AZ • March 03, 2019
With more difficulty and frustration than expected but it works fine now.
Things learned:
1. Order only 3 replacement pins. One comes with the shocks that you can't be sure you see in the picture.
2. A circuit board in a plastic box mounted to the floor, left rear, must be removed by two screws to be able to get pliers onto the head of the pin more easily. This helps installation too.
3. A 1/2" deep socket pushed onto the retaining tab of the pin stays there while you pull with pliers from the...

The front panel was broke due to pulling on it and not sliding the handle the front clamp rusted in two the bottom panel was rusted and the door boot seal looked terrible Daren R. • Garden City , GA • January 19, 2015
Watched the video a few times for door boot seal replacement. It was a lot of help! The spring is the hardest to replace and I did enlist the help of my wife. Everything went back on great. If you have to replace the front panel (with the buttons) be mindful that the buttons are spring loaded and will come out. I did not lose any and it went back together just fine. A little touch up paint on the washer and it all looks brand new and works great. And the parts came in quicker than...

E21 water not pumping out fast enough (eiflw55hmb washer) Helmut D. • Rancho Palos Verdes , CA • April 20, 2020
Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. My KenmoreElite washer wasn't spinning at appropriate times during various cycles kept giving me the "srv cll" message on the display Gregg S. • Georgetown , KY • October 02, 2019
Since I hadn't found the Tech Sheet for the washer (which there should be one inside the top cover) I simply thought I'd buy the drive motor (and a new belt, a.k.a "cheap insurance"). Installed the motor once I'd received it from AppliancePartsPros, the washer worked a couple of cycles then gave me the same "SrV CLL" message. I didn't know how to access the error codes on this model but found the info in the Tech Sheet, so I checked it and got an E53 code. Since I'd replaced the motor...

Grill on air duct had an item melt on to it and partially block air flow Charles C. • Orchard Park , NY • November 25, 2017
It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube.
I then reversed disassembly. I want to tell you this is a 2 person job. In order to assemble it you need to...
