The Spring is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is a small but important internal part that applies pressure to dispense cubed or crushed ice from the refrigerator door. The spring is located within the ice dispenser mechanism and works with a lever to push ice out through the dispenser chute upon activation.
Causes of a bad spring can include wear and tear over time, putting undue pressure on the dispenser by jamming items into the chute, or damage from excessive force applied during dispensing.

The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above. The drain pan (Tray-Evaporator Pan) was cracked in 2 places. We had to remove the front panel. Loosen the bracket that holds the water filter. Take off the back panel and disconnect the bracket that holds the selenoid. It was not necessary to unhook the water lines, just the bracket. It was not easy to remove the old pan and get the new one in, but holding the water filter, with the bracket intact, as far to the left side of the refrigerator as possible gave us the room to get the pan in. ... This range screw is an OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for gas stove burners. These screws attach the ignitor to the burner. Screws may corrode and rust during everyday use. Spills and accidents on the range top may leak down to the screws and cause them to become worn. Screws are not considered part of the ignitor kit or burner kit and will need to be purchased separately. If the screws appear rusty or corroded while replacing the ignitor, it is beneficial to replace them. Replaced old igniter. also purchased new screws for burner and igniter assembly since old screws were corroded from spilled food/fluids etc over the years. made the installation much easier. If you need to replace a worn igniter, do yourself a favor and go to hardware store and get matching replacement screws or buy new with igniter. This screw is used to secure the handle end cap to the center of the door. The screw size measures 8-18 x 1/2 inches.
