This is a blower wheel used in the downdraft exhaust ventilation system of a range or cooktop. It mounts on the motor shaft and draws smoke, steam, and cooking odors down and out through the vent ductwork. Replace this part if the exhaust fan is noisy, vibrating excessively, or not moving air effectively despite the motor running.
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

It serves as both the structural top of the range and the smooth cooking surface. Once you are resigned to disconnecting the exhaust fan system under the range so you can remove the range from the surrounding counter, the rest is easy. once out, its 8 screws to remove the top and 8 screws to remove the heating elements, and 2 simple wire conneop back onto the stovectors. This 10-32 terminal block nut fastens wire lugs to the appliance's terminal studs. Replacing a missing, stripped, or corroded nut restores a tight, reliable connection and helps prevent heat damage or intermittent power at the connection.
The oven temperature was low and the heating time excessive. However, the range display showed the requested 400F, even though the oven was really 250F. Because the oven displayed an inaccurate temperature, I ordered an oven sensor, a heating element, and a terminal block. Replacing the heating element fixed the problem. The element I received was the same shape and size, but the supports were not the same. However, I think it must have been a design change after mine was manufactured... Read more

One day our house lost power for only about a second or two, and then everything in the house came back as normal, except now half the buttons on the stove front didn't work. It made more sense to me that it was the sensitive electronic computer board and not the front panel which just holds the buttons that was fried, however I had read online how some other people had fixed a similar problem with replacing the panel with the buttons. Thanks to this site's fantastic return policy, I decided to... Read more
