Turntable Motor
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB26X10233

This is a turntable motor intended for use with microwave ovens. A turntable motor is required to rotate the turntable so that food is heated evenly. With time, because of misuse, or as a result of accidental damage, the turntable motor may malfunction or fail. To continue using the appliance efficiently, the turntable motor must be replaced. The primary indication that there is something wrong with the turntable motor is a tray that doesn't spin. When replacing the turntable motor, it is essential to disconnect the machine from the power source. Wear gloves for safety. The part can be replaced easily by removing screws from the back and side of the microwave, which allows the panel to swing open. Take the wires of the old motor and reconnect them to the new one. This turntable motor is an authentic OEM replacement part. It is sold as an individual unit. The turntable motor is made of high-quality, durable materials. The component comes sourced directly from the manufacturer. The replacement part can be installed in several models of microwaves. It is compatible with appliances produced by General Electric, RCA, and Hotpoint brand appliances.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Turntable did not turn on our ge under the cabinet microwave   Cory S. • Rochester , MN • July 03, 2016

Unplug your microwave. Took the screws off of the bottom of the unit with it still on the cabinet. The whole bottom panel swung down to expose the turntable motor. I took the power cable loose (just pull it off). It was one screw to take the motor out. Word to the wise: DON'T try to take the plastic coupler off before the motor. Their is a tab that holds it in while the motor is in place. If you pry it up you will break it, trust me. ;) Turn the motor out of its housing and it come right out.... Read more

Hood Damper Assembly
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB06X10436

The Hood Damper Assembly is an OEM part for GE microwave ovens. This part controls the flow of exhaust air to minimize odors and smoke from cooking. This damper opens to allow air to vent outside during microwave operation and closes to prevent outside air from entering when the microwave is not in use.

Causes of a bad hood damper assembly can include mechanical failure such as a stuck or broken damper, deterioration of the linkage or springs that operate the damper, and blockage caused by grease or debris accumulation, which can impair its functionality.

Symptoms of a bad Hood Damper Assembly include:

  • Ineffective venting of smoke or cooking odors
  • External air leakage into the microwave system
  • Unusual noises during operation indicating a damper misalignment or obstruction

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Convert microwave from recycling vent to an external vent system   Gaspar D. • Summerfield , NC • December 31, 2015

We followed the manufacturer's instructions about re-positioning the fan motor and installing the vent damper (easy). We constructed a duct system from the microwave to the outside of the house (challenging). We used 3.25" x 10" metal duct to start the system through the wall behind the microwave, where we added framing to reinforce a cut stud. We ran the duct up a closet wall and through its ceiling into the attic. We had to make an offset duct piece from 3.25" x 10" metal duct to clear a... Read more

Charcoal Filter
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB02X10733

This charcoal filter is used on microwave ovens to filter grease and other air contaminants during cooking. This filter contains charcoal for added filtering and is not washable. When the filter becomes clogged, it must be removed and replaced. If the air filter is clogged, smoke and fumes will not be cleaned, and the room will fill with odors during cooking. The charcoal filter catches grease spatters, and if greasy foods are cooked often, the filter will need to be changed more often. The filter should be removed and replaced regularly and anytime that it is not working efficiently. Removing the filter does not require tools. Pull the old filter straight out and push the new one in place. This charcoal filter is a silver metallic part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in microwave ovens designed by General Electric.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My appliance gave me a message that I needed to change my charcoal filter. I went to your website to read the manual for the over-stove microwave.   Aleta G. • Waxhaw , NC • April 05, 2014

Well, after I accessed the place where the charcoal filter would be, I found out that there was NO CHARCOAL FILTER AT ALL! No wonder the circulating fan did not take cooking odors out of the room! So your website told me what to order, I ordered it and it was here in no time! So, the microwave was installed by the builder of this house and he never installed the filter. The previous owner must not have done a whole lot of cooking, but we do. So we will now have the air filtered when we cook and... Read more

Turntable Motor (Microwave)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB26X10208

This turntable motor drives the coupler and glass tray in your microwave, rotating food for more even heating. Replace a failed or noisy motor to restore smooth, consistent tray movement and reduce cold spots during cooking and reheating.

  • Drives the center coupler and glass tray to rotate during operation
  • Helps ensure even heating by moving food through the microwave energy field
  • Direct replacement when the original motor is seized, noisy, or electrically open
  • Symptoms include a tray that won't turn, jerky rotation, or a humming/grinding sound from the turntable area
What's included: 1 turntable motor Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a dangerous charge
  • Access to the motor is typically from the bottom; remove the cover/panel per your model's service information
  • Transfer the two wires to the new motor and secure it with the mounting screws; ensure the shaft fully engages the coupler
  • After reassembly, test with a cup of water to ensure smooth rotation

High-Voltage Diode (Microwave)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB27X1160

This high-voltage rectifier diode is used in the microwave's high-voltage circuit. It converts AC to DC so the magnetron can produce heat. A failed diode can cause no heat, loud humming, or a blown fuse when starting. What it does:

  • Rectifies high-voltage AC to DC to power the magnetron
  • Blocks reverse voltage in the HV circuit
  • Common failure symptoms can include: runs but doesn't heat; loud hum then shutdown; line fuse blows at startup
What's included:
  • 1 high-voltage diode
Install notes:
  • Unplug the microwave and properly discharge the high-voltage capacitor before servicing—dangerous voltage can remain even when unplugged
  • Match diode orientation/polarity to the original and ensure a solid chassis ground connection where used
  • Route leads and reinstall any clamps/insulators exactly as found; keep wiring clear of sharp edges and hot components
  • If the original diode failed, inspect the HV capacitor and transformer for related issues before reassembly

  • Worn ring may cause the turntable not to rotate or to turn intermittently
  • Other signs include tray wobble, squeaking/grinding sounds, and uneven heating
What's included: 1 turntable roller ring assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the microwave
  • Remove the glass tray; lift out the old ring and clean the track
  • Set the new ring in place with rollers facing down and centered on the track
