I searched online for replacement parts and Appliance Parts Pros had the part in stock. Before I ordered the part, I watched the video to see if I could handle the repair. I ordered the part and soaked the gaskets with warm water in the tub. The old gaskets had a much simpler setup, so no cutting was involved. I simply pulled the old gasket out of the track without issues, and installed the new one with finger pressure. Per the video, I took both doors off. However, due to the design, I could... Read more
Refrigerator making clicking or knocking noises? A faulty damper control causes noise and uneven cooling. Easy DIY repair—remove cover, swap unit in minutes.
Replaced the damper control. It took only 10-15 minutes. Since replacement, the clicking noise has stopped. Very happy with the result. However, want to share that there was probably nothing wrong with the original damper other than the original faulty design. The flap opens and closes and believe the clicking noise was the result of plastic against plastic. Noticed the new damper control is exactly the same as the original except that one of the flap sides now has a thick piece of rubbery... Read more

Freezer cold but refrigerator warm? The evaporator fan motor circulates air for cooling. Easy DIY repair with video guidance—takes about 30 minutes.
If the freezer is cold and the fridge is hot, logic would indicate that the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator is not working. Searched the ApplicancePartsPros.com website for a fan in the freezer compartment and found the video on how to replace one. Freezer cold but fridge warm? Your evaporator fan motor circulates air between compartments. Most DIYers complete this repair in 1 hour with our video.
The fan has a very thin wire in it's coil, and when that wire breaks, you need a new fan. In a previous repair, i noticed that an ice build-up had dislodged the wiring on my fan and severed the coil winding. I was able to undo the winding a couple of turns and get it working again. But more recently, the fan stopped and there was no repairing it. So i ordered a new fan from AppliancePartsPros.com and it got here in very good time. The new fan was slightly different as the prongs seemed to be... Read more
